I love this. Absolutely love it. Especially what you did with Puck-Quinn, and making their Beth issues separate from each other. (And bringing back Lauren, because Lauren ROCKED.)
I wish I could come up with more intelligent things to say, but my brain is rotting :P But I love this :)
Thank you! I miss Lauren so, so much. Now I'm really glad you wrote the bonus chapter of BSGlee, so at least I can get some Lauren there.
(Speaking of BSGlee--my unexpected company got in the way of me finishing the chapter you sent me. I can chip away at it throughout the week this week, though, so it shouldn't take too terribly long to get it back to you.)
Sounds good! When I saw the note about unexpected company, I figured that might be the case. I've been working through my own edits, and if you haven't started, let me know, because you might want a different copy. (If you have, no worries, but I've made a couple of cuts and switches and changes here and there, and a few big cuts as well.)
Yes, yes, yes to the idea of a whole episode focused on the student election AND congress election. It's completely ridiculous that the climax of Sue and Burt's big storylines happened off-screen. Wasn't Sue's political story planned to last for the whole of S3? Did the writers just get bored and throw it away without proper resolve? Yup. And I love the idea of Burt confessing to Kurt that if he'd been 17 he'd have voted for the hot cheerleader too but as an adult he sees that Kurt's the better candidate. It'd be another fond reassurance that Kurt is likely to thrive once he has escaped high school/small town mentality. I'd also have liked a scene where BURT sits down with Kurt to write his NYADA application and reminds Kurt that he does have many extra-curricular credits (member of two Show Choirs, Cheerios, Kicker, Wedding Planner, Campaign Manager for a newly elected Congressman, School Play, PFLAG founder, etc, not to mention high grades). Also I'd have Burt order Kurt to quit whining and focus on what he'll do for his NYADA

This is so true of so many of Glee's problems. Ryan Murphy's greatest strength is that he has lots of cool ideas, and is greatest weakness is that he has lots of cool ideas, but that it; he sucks at follow-through. I almost wish that he would create TV series, be involved in the first half-season or so, and then hand the reins over to a writer who may not be as flashy when it comes to new ideas but is good at continuity and closure, while he goes off and creates a new series.
Since Darren can play I've been bugged that they don't use it more on the show, plus it was a better number for the three divas alone.
Yeah, I've really enjoyed that they have Sam and Puck play the guitar and Finn play the drums because the actors can play them in real life, so I'm a bit puzzled why they haven't done that with Blaine, too.
I think I'd have kept Karofsky at McKinley and had them still bearding for each other, just so Santana could have another character around who
