Bring on the Fluff

My remix is done. While I'm diving into some other WIPs at the moment, I am also celebrating this accomplishment with a call for prompts. However, for many reasons, I am only taking prompts for a specific variety of fics. Allow me to invoke some visual aids:

I want to write fics like this...

The Hummel-Hudsons may be getting a puppy later this week, too, but for now...

He Blinded Me with Science

When Louis came back from the post office, he found Felix in the kitchen, which smelled rather strange. Before he could ask what was up, a flash of yellow sugar caught Louis’s eye.

“Ooh, Peeps!”

“No! Don’t eat that!” Felix practically shouted, tearing the marshmallow chick from Louis’s grasp before he could pop it in his mouth.

“Well, hi to you, too,” Louis snarked. “Come on, Felix. I know it’s weird how often Earthers make food in animal shapes and thus encourage us to bite the heads off cute, fluffy little critters, but don’t you think you’re overreacting just a little?”

“I’m not overreacting,” Felix said. Louis noticed for the first time he was stirring something in a bowl. “If you want to eat Peeps, there’s an unopened package of bunnies over there ( ... )

That? Was AWESOME. There needs to be more mad scientist!Felix fic out there, and damn, am I glad I handed you Peeps as a prompt. (This was exactly the sort of thing I was thinking about, too.) Between Felix trying to destroy Peeps and Louis eating them as fast as he can, that was just absolutely classic.

You rock!

(And I hope they didn't blow up their apartment with the Peep in the microwave.)

Thank you for such a fun prompt! I agree, mad!scientist Felix is a lot of fun, and we should let him out to play more often. And I'm pretty sure that the worst of the Peeps vs. Microwave experiment was that it left a sticky, yellow-sugary mess, but the apartment remained intact. ;)

Ahahah, YES. Peeps are terrifying like that! And you just know Felix would have to confirm the results for himself. :P

Thanks! Oh, yes, Felix and his kitchen science experiments are a topic of much conversation in the Culture Shock 'verse, I suspect. :)

Hehehehe. As someone who has spent perhaps a bit too much time on peepresearch.org, I find this quite humorous. :) And I can totally see Felix wanting to take it one step further. Geeks at play = great fun.

Thanks! It is kind of fascinating, isn't it? I love the tone of the whole website.

Geeks at play = great fun.

Truer words were never spoken. :)

This is exactly how Felix would discover Peeps. Has he tried dropping a Mentos into Dt. Coke yet?

Thanks! :) I think that's exactly the sort of thing they do to entertain Nicky when he and Hotdog come over to visit. As a bonus, it really entertains Hotdog, too. Dee, Seelix, and Racetrack just roll their eyes.

Peep Jousting? Dare I ask what this is...?

How can you know the Annals of Peep Research and not know Peep Jousting??

(I've never down this myself, but I've always wanted to try. I just haven't wanted to deal with the inevitable scrubbing of my microwave...)

I'm pretty sure I know how Louis and Felix spent their weekend now... :)
