This computer sucks. Stand-to's are pointless.

Iraq still sucks.

Merry Christmas, everybody. I barely have any down time right now, and it sucks.

Gotta go.

You had to stand-to? Are you serious?

I was going to ask why you said Merry Christmas...then I noticed the next sentence. Keep your spirits up. Un box mails this Monday with goodies and DVDs, which you apparently won't be able to watch.

Just out of curiosity, what is stand-to? Merry Christmas to you, and yes Iraq does suck. If I could I would give you some of my downtime, but I can't.

It is when everybody has to go to the front line and get ready for an attack. It happens right before daybreak everyday you are having the operation/mission or whatever. The reason is because it is believed you are most likely to get attacked just as dawn aproaches so you must be ready for one. It was true in WWII, Korea, and maybe Vietnam, but it is not going to happen in Iraq for the shear fact that there is no definable enemy forces over there, just a bunch brainwashed insurgents trying to make it to the holy land. So it is in fact incredibly ghey that they are doing them.

It's where we go to our fighting positions, and 'stand-to' the enemy. It's done during dawn and dusk. It's stupid.
