Neil Patrick Harris Emmy Opening Number

Here's the lyrics to NPH's Emmy Opening number, just in case anyone was interested (This is just going from what I heard, so I could have a few mistakes).

I missed the Emmys unfortunately. Stupid timezones. Stupid channels showing only the red carpet. Anyway, I've heard of the speech, I've heard of the best parts but I didn't hear the whole thing. If it weren't for you, I would have completely missed that song. Thanks for writing them down! I love NPH a little more every day. My favorite part:
Straight from Mad Men there’s Joan
Oh the curves she has shown
It would make a blind man say “Damn”

She could turn a gay straight
Oh, wait, nevermind
There’s Jon Hamm

I was going to link to the youtube clip I used, but I forgot...I'll edit to link tonight, when I get home from work, so you can actually watch. It was fantastic!

My favorite part:
Yeah, I think that was my favorite part too. And the audience loved it too. :)

Yay! Thanks for writing down the lyrics! I loved NPH's opening number. He should host every award show from now on.

Not to nit pick, but in line 27, you must mean "Sarah Palin did you no wrong", right? I haven't looked at the YouTube vid, but grammatically that makes more sense.

And thanks, too, for all the typing.

Yes, that's what I meant. That was an error of my sleep deprived brain, and a product of hurrying to get it posted. Thanks for catching my error. I'm going to edit to change it now. :)

Thanks for the lyrics! I can't stop listening to this song lol. One tiiiny correction:

Yes, it’s been quite a while
Since a dial was in style
But you know what I mean

I think it sounded more like 'Yes' than 'cause' :)

You're right. :) I was pretty tired when I typed this up, but just listened to it again, and it sounds like "Yes" to me. Thanks for the correction!
