What is this post...

I thought I should just put something up here.

Since I never know what to use my personal journal for, anyway...

So, um, to celebrate GERMANY'S VICTORY!!! I personalized my work uniform.
Not much you can change when you work at the pool, and everything is a) issued by the city, or b) has to survive hours of sunlight and chlorine, sooo... I tried! Lol

Yay! Germany won!

Wow, your hair is so long! *O* so pretty!

lol, you made the German flag colors with your hair ties :D

I didn't even watch the World Cup yet SOB SOB. I don't know what time it plays. Evening? ;A; I missed watching the Winter Olympics too, even though I followed all the Plushenko threads on the meme ;__;

You can speak Icelandic? German too! Wow that's so cool.

A pool job sounds like fun! Are you a lifeguard? :D

If you want to watch the World Cup you better hurry, there are only two games left! lol
The game for third place, Uruguay - Germany (dammmmnnnnn you Spain!!!! D'''X That freakin' psychic octopus was right...) is this Saturday, and the final (Netherlands - Spain) is on Sunday. Both are in the evening in South Africa, so that's like noon/one-ish in the US, depending on your time zone.

I can speak German, but I definitely can't actually speak Icelandic! But I would love to learn, so this summer... I went and bought a self study book! Probably the worst way to learn a foreign language. But it's not like there are hordes of Icelanders running around in Kansas! X'D ( ... )

Haha that psychic octopus Paul! ~O~
I will try to watch the game then, if I can. Thanks for letting me know the time, right after church Sunday is great! Sounds exciting XD

Good luck with the self-study book! You are a master of so many languages WOW! I have family in Kansas City, Missouri, I might visit them this summer or not, since I will probably be working now ;A; There is a heat wave now I hear?! :D What is it like there, I've never been further west than Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Is it really the heartland of America, with bisons and buffalos and farms and "plains of rolling wheat?" XDDD

Aww, sun and water is the best ^__^ CPR is great too! I took a class in it once, but I think it expired (only good for 1 year?)

Ah, actually I just got notified today that I am starting work on Monday and will be working this coming week. I'm excited and nervous. And I need to lose weight go tomorrow and buy comfortable shoes for all that standing. urgh. 12 hour shift WAHT? 3 days in a row?!? Plus travel time, and SOB SOB I won't have time or ( ... )

There was indeed something of a heat wave, but it's not as bad as past years. It only gets to about 95 degrees every day (heat index 110! 8D) But there have been summers where it honestly got to 120 degrees, so 95 really isn't bad, eh? Last summer, there was one day in which my town was hotter than Death Valley, lol.
This summer, though, all the plants are still alive, so it's nice and green for once.

I would kind of not recommend visiting Kansas City. It's kind of my least favorite city, ever. But I guess visiting family is different, and you should definitely come out west sometime! Pfff, what is this, The Lone Ranger? Kansas is only in the middle of the country!
Though I shouldn't talk, in my mind, "The East Coast" starts directly east of Missouri. ^^;
And yeah, it actually kind of is like "rolling plains and buffalo" XD. The prairie is very nice. But it's too hot and dry for wheat, we mostly have soy and feed corn. This land is drying up, ahahaha... OTL

Trufax: Kansas can talk your ear off about the weather.Oh my gosh, I can't ( ... )
