this is the effect i used on all of the icons in my previous entry.
step 1. crop image to 100x100 or whatever you wanna use
step 2. duplicate and set to screen 100%
step 3. set the hue/saturation/lightness to saturation 41 on the screened layer
step 4. sharpen the screened layer
step 5. make new raster layer and fill it with #07132d and set it to exclusion 52%
step 6. make another new raster layer and fill it with #dfac83 and set it to multiply 34%
step 7. duplicate your base and bring that layer all the way to the top and set it on soft light 72% and sharpen
and that's it! try and it out and show me what you come up with
