Hi everyone! I have a new fic! This fic is one of the responses to ficwriterjet 50 Prompts. I took three of them, and this one is based on "health". I'm kind of proud of it because it's my first actual SPN fic, since my AU family series isn't quite the same thing. This was sublime! I absolutely loved it, and what a great birthday gift to have a new prompt fanfic to read - yay.

I loved how you described so perfectly Dean's dedication to his father and to the hunt. That is just so Dean! Well done. And I was biting my nails all through out just knowing that John would get to the bottom of things sooner or later. You played the anticipation and build up so well. Poor Sam as he finally spills the truth out to John - guess he found out the hard way that it's not wise to keep things from John. :-P

And I agree with the others - Sam promising never to keep anything from his dad and John going like yeah, right - I wish. Priceless and spot on.

You nailed this one out of the park, girlfriend! Can't wait to read your other ones.

Aw, that was a lovely story. Thank you for posting. I love sick Dean fics, and of course spanking fics. You did a really good job with the characterizations. I could see Dean trying to tough out a hunt when he was sick, and John came out nice too. He was firm but loving and didn't go as hard on Dean as he could have, which I was glad for, considering Dean was still recovering, and I absolutely adored Dean hoping he would throw up on the hairbrush his father used to spank him with. It was cute. Nice job on this. I can't wait to read your the other prompts you picked.

You are quite welcome! I'm so glad that everyone has liked my characterization of John...I was hoping that he came across as a good Daddy :) And I'm glad you liked the hairbrush thing. I was a little concerned that it might be too cheesy, but it seems to be getting a pretty good response. I don't know when my next story will be posted, but I'm hoping it will be even better than this one! Thanks for reading/commenting!

I absolutely loved this! I so love my John and Dean. You really have them down pat IMO. You wrote John as the loving father that I know and believe he is - even if some don't see it on the show. Dean was just so true to character. He'll do anything including jeopardize his health to make John proud (even though his life and health are much more important to John). Great job I look forward to reading more of your fics real soon. :)
