The starting pay is around $28,000. You can negotiate from there depending on how much experience you have working in a call center, in banking, and how much education you have.

Have I vacillated too long on this? I'm sufficiently interested to apply if this is still available. What's the what where and how?

No, you haven't waited too long. You might even see an ad in the paper this weekend. Just send in your resume to human resources or me. Make sure your phone experience is played up on it, and reference that you'd heard there was an opening in the Customer Relations Center.

One nota bene: make sure your hair is pulled back and tidy, because they aren't used to guys with long hair. They aren't anal, but they are a bit conservative in some ways because, well, it's a bank. If you have a good reason for the length, such as religion, etc., then they shouldn't give you a hard time about it.

I typically have my hair in a braid when I go in for job interviews. Its the best way to keep it neat and out of the way.

But no, I don't have a religious reason for wearing it long. I don't have a religious reason for much of anything (unless my wife requiring that I keep it long qualifies *grin*). I just have long hair, and have for many years now.

If they're not going to hire me over having long hair, I probably wouldn't want to work there anyway, so I won't worry about it too much.
