i made plans to eat lunch with my mom today, and the whole way there i kept thinking she wouldn't show up. when i got there she wasn't there, so i assumed she wouldn't show up. crazily enough, she did. it really sucks to have to doubt your own mother so much. part of me didn't want her to show up, though, because it's always awkward small-talk
