I was going to post something else, and still might, but when I saw this writing prompt, I had to respond, because I think every geek has secretly thought about it.  Yes, "it" -- the inevitable zombie outbreak.  Heck, you'd think today's earthquake in Southern California was the portent of such doom, the way the news covered this casualty-free,

Heck, you'd think today's earthquake in Southern California was the portent of such doom, the way the news covered this casualty-free, minimal property damage inducing catastrophe. Tell me about it. My local news is too busy covering the forest fires to futz around with all this earthquake business. Sheesh.

I have a sawed-off shotgun and LOTS of shells. I figure I'm home free, provided I'm home when the zombie plague begins (probable). The only thing I'm worried about is not having enough wine to tide me over...
