*MASTERPOST*

Something was off. It was Saturday, middle of the day but the streets were strangely quiet. Of course it wasn't in the middle of Tokyo but here in Chiba it shouldn't be so quiet on a Saturday. Jun frowned as he drove his car towards the apartment building their friends lived in, finding a spot close to it. Next to him Kazunari was strangely quiet as well but he too seemed to be absorbed in his own thoughts as he stared out of the window.

"We are here." Matsumoto said when he stopped the car and turned the engine off. Ninomiya snapped out of his trance and looked at him, the same frown also visible on his face. They got out of the car without a word and Matsumoto grabbed their bags while the other man already started to walk towards the building.

"You did call them that we were coming right?" Jun asked simply to break the slightly uncomfortable silence. The older man sighed and rolled his eyes as he reached for the doorbell.

"The answer didn't change since the last time you asked." Ninomiya said annoyed, gluing a smile to his face when the door opened and Aiba greeted them with a wide smile. After a few minutes of exchanging greetings and Aiba mostly saying how long it had been and that they should have visited much sooner they finally sat down on the couch in the small but comfortable living room.

"I'm sorry Sho is not here. He was called to the office a bit more than an hour ago." Matsumoto and Ninomiya exchanged a quick glance, the smaller man looking back at their friend.

"Something's wrong?" He asked. Masaki sighed.

"He didn't say much when he left but it has been a bit of a chaotic week. Nothing really serious, just small fights between the Watches but somehow more than usual." Aiba frowned when the other two men exchanged some looks again. "What? Something is wrong in Tokyo?"

"There have been fights in Tokyo as well." Jun said. "More than usual and in public places. It's almost like something is going on that we are not aware of yet but everyone can feel it. The streets are quiet, like everyone is hiding from something."

"From what?" Aiba asked but Matsumoto shook his head.

"We hoped you guys could give us some answers." Kazunari answered instead. The tallest man sighed.

"I can't. I could call Sho but I don't want to bother him at work. It's hard enough for him already. We will have to wait until he gets back." The tallest man excused himself to make some tea, leaving the other two men behind.

"I knew something is wrong." Kazunari muttered, looking at Jun. "There is too much tension, this isn't normal anymore."

"But what is going on?" Matsumoto asked softly.

"I have a feeling we might find out soon." Ninomiya sighed and leaned back. "Even with Ohno around there wasn't this much tension."

"You think he might be behind this?" Jun asked, raising his eyebrow as the other man shook his head. Normally the older man always avoided to talk about Satoshi, knowing what reaction this usually caused with Matsumoto, who was still unable to really accept Ohno was really gone.

"He was sent into the emptiness, there is no way he can be behind it. He is gone J, when will you accept that?" Kazunari sighed annoyed.

"There have been cases before where people who were sent into the emptiness came back. We can't underestimate Ohno for this one, you know what he has been capable of. For God's sake, he almost killed the Treaty twice!" Matsumoto got slightly mad at just the thought again but also because Ninomiya thought about it too lightly in his eyes. Yes, Satoshi was gone but what if some of his puppets had managed to bring him back? Even though it had been years ago Jun still couldn't let this possibility go, always unconsciously looking for signs of Ohno.

"Let it go J." Kazunari said right before Masaki stepped inside the room with tea again. Even though it had been a joyful meeting before, the air around them had now turned gloomy and uncomfortable. Aiba started to talk about their live in Chiba a bit, telling them about the store he worked in but it didn't help much. The sound of the door opening made them all turn their heads towards the entrance, seeing a pale and slightly disorientated Sho step inside. Masaki frowned and stood up, hugging his boyfriend and leading him to the couch. The sight of Sakurai like this scared Matsumoto in a way. If the Border Watch officer was this shocked by something then something terrible must have happened, confirming Ninomiya's feelings.

"The head of the Light Watch in Pennsylvania was found dead a few hours ago." Sakurai slowly said. "Murdered. By a Dark Watch officer. Within an hour the news spread through whole America and before they knew it riots started everywhere. Light and Dark officers are turning against each other and openly fighting. By now every Border Watch is informed and ordered to keep the news silent for the other Watches but it's only a matter of time before everyone knows it. If riots break out everywhere... I don't want to think of the consequences."

"It could lead to war." Ninomiya softly said, making Sakurai look up in confusion.

"Ninomiya-san." He looked from the smallest man to Jun. "And Matsumoto-san. When did you come here?"

"They arrived a little while ago." Aiba said, stroking the older man's arm softly. "Don't worry, they won't tell anyone what you just told us. Right?" With the look Aiba gave them, Jun and Kazunari couldn't do much else than nod.

"But can you please explain more what is going on?" Ninomiya asked, looking at Sho who stared back blankly.

"I can't. I don't know much more than I just told you. But it explains the anxiety that is going on lately, everyone sensed something was going to happen. But this... If not handled right it could end in a disaster." Matsumoto sighed and rubbed his temples.

"How is the Border Watch going to handle this?" He asked but before Sakurai could answer they were interrupted by Kazunari's phone going off.

"Excuse me." Ninomiya said with an annoyed frown on his face, making his way to the kitchen to answer his phone. Jun watched him for a second before standing up as well. When he came closer to the kitchen he could hear in the hissed tone of the older man that he was angry about something and seeing the ringtone that was only used for their boss, Jun had a slight clue what it might be about.

"There are hundreds of other officers in Tokyo, I can't come right now! I'm off for the weekend and not in Tokyo." Matsumoto leaned against wall next to the door, looking at the smaller man who didn't seem to notice him.

"I understand but..." Ninomiya's hand clenched on the table he was leaning on. "Yes, Jun is with me. Monday. No, Monday. Fine, the minute I get back in Tokyo Sunday night." Without anything else Kazunari hung up the phone and sighed.

"You should know better than eavesdropping me." The smaller man grumbled, turning around and looking madly at Matsumoto. The younger man pushed himself of the wall, stepping closer and not afraid of the look in the other's eyes, knowing the anger wasn't directed towards him.

"The office?" He asked, getting only a nod in return. Jun sighed and shook his head. "I hate it when they keep bothering you even though..."

"There are open riots in Tokyo." Ninomiya interrupted him.

"What?" Matsumoto frowned.

"Light and Dark are rioting against each other. Openly. They couldn't even keep it a secret for 24 hours." Jun cursed at the other man's words.

"What now?" He asked.

"I don't know. Boss wanted me to come back and deal with it but even if I could, I wouldn't know what to do."

"Shouldn't the Border Watch step in?" Jun asked. A soft cough made them turn around, Sho stepping in the kitchen.

"The Border Watch has its own problems at the moment. Right now the most important thing is to protect the Treaty, the other Watches come after that." Jun frowned but before he could say anything Ninomiya stepped forward.

"What do you mean keep the Treaty safe? It's not even in Asia at the moment! It's the Border Watch job to keep everything under control and it balance!"

"Until we know what really happened we can't do anything." Sakurai said calmly. "I know it's frustrating but please understand. With something like this we can't blame the wrong people which would cause and even bigger uproar."

"So you will just watch how the other Watches bash each other's brains in?" Kazunari asked. Sho quickly shook his head.

"That's never our intention." The older man sighed and rubbed his temples. "Look, I trust you guys. I shouldn't be saying this to you but there have been some whispers inside the Border Watch already to just let the other two fight each other for a while. To let them feel the trouble it will cause."

"They want to start a war?!" Both Jun and Kazunari said at the same time, looking at the Border Watch officer with wide eyes. Sakurai quickly shook his head.

"Not war, I assume they will start before that. But I don't believe it will come that far. As soon as the responsible people are caught and prosecuted everything will calm down again." Matsumoto sighed.

"I hope you are right about that." They all turned to the door when Aiba stepped inside.

"Can you guys at least come back to talk about this in the living room? It's not like I would tell anyone about it and we didn't say you could stay here for the weekend so you could leave me by myself." The tallest man pouted and immediately Sakurai stepped towards him, hugging him tight.

"I'm sorry Masaki." He mumbled, pushing Aiba back to the living room. Jun looked at the smallest man who seemed to be lost in thought again.

"Penny for your thoughts?" He tried but Ninomiya shook his head, slowly getting back to the living room as well. Sho was silently talking to Masaki, giving him an update of the situation when Jun and Kazunari sat down again as well.

"Maybe I should call Nila..." Aiba said slowly, looking at Sakurai who frowned and didn't look that happy.

"She's a normal person now, I'm pretty sure she doesn't know much more." The Border Watch officer grumbled but Masaki shook his head.

"She might be a normal person but she is still involved in the Border Watch. And apart from that, she can give us an update about the situation in India right? Maybe it's just a coincidence that riots started here as well." Ninomiya laughed emotionlessly at the tallest man's words.

"Coincidence my ass. There is no way something like this can be a simple coincidence. But I do agree on your point, maybe it's a good idea to get some information about other countries. If they are handling it better there we could learn something from it." He said, glaring at Sho who raised his eyebrow and simply looked back, not saying anything at the silent accusing.

"I agree." Matsumoto said. Sakurai sighed and nodded as well, watching Aiba closely as he grabbed his phone and searched for the woman's name. Though right before he was going to press the button to call the man looked up from his phone with a frown.

"I forgot. She's not in India at the moment. She said she was going to the Vatican this weekend, she got some kind of invitation from the Border Watch there. We will have to wait until tomorrow."

"Why was she invited to the Vatican?" Jun asked surprised.

"I don't really know. Something about her being a past vessel who might be able to help the new Treaty, but I didn't really ask about it." Aiba looked at the other men around him, all watching him closely. "I'll call her tomorrow okay? It's not like we can do much more now. Aren't you all supposed to have a few days off? How about going out for dinner, get our minds clear and actually try to enjoy seeing each other for a while." Even though the three officers weren't really in the mood, nobody wanted to disappoint Masaki. So they agreed on his idea to go out for dinner, trying to enjoy the evening but no matter how they tried to avoid it, every time the subject was brought back to the riots. Aiba was right, they couldn't do anything about it now but it still made them uneasy.

By the time they finally said goodnight and laid down in bed that evening Matsumoto couldn't think of anything else but sleep. All the information of today had made his mind overflow and drowsy. He made himself comfortable and wanted to close his eyes but Ninomiya seemed to have something else in mind. As soon as the smaller man slipped inside the bed as well he pressed his lips against his neck, warm hands slipping underneath Matsumoto's shirt.

"Stop it, we are guest in our friends house." Jun muttered but the hands on him continued their journey.

"So? Do you think having guest stops them?" In the darkness Matsumoto could still see his lovers grin. Was it just his imagination, supported by the older man's words, that he head muffled moans coming from the other side of the wall? Or was he trying to find a reason for himself to give in to the shivers that ran down his body as one of the smaller man's hands slipped inside his boxers. His willpower crumbled into pieces when Kazunari softly bit him in his weak spot at his neck, only finding enough strength to stop himself from moaning loudly.

"You make it too easy for me J." Ninomiya muttered hotly in his ear, taking advantage of the fact that the younger man was fighting himself more than he was fighting him for dominance. The protest Jun wanted to voice out drowned on the hungry lips that covered his mouth, lust awakening with every stroke of the others tongue against his own. Forgetting about his surroundings he started to push back, feeling the lips on his curling into a smile.

"That's more like it." Kazunari mumbled between their kisses, his hips moving against the other man's side until Jun grabbed them with both hands and easily turned them over. Once he got the older man pinned underneath him Matsumoto grinned and broke the kiss.

"It's almost like you want me to top you." He teased. "You are more of a slut than I thought you was. Who knew that getting fucked while our dear friends are just behind these walls turns you on so much?" In his moment of smugness he let his attention slip, the older man grabbing his now fully hard member through his boxers which made him freeze for only a second but long enough to turn the tables again. Before he knew it he was turned on his stomach, without any fabric on his body and a lubed finger pressing against his entrance.

"You misunderstood J. It's not being fucked in a friend's house that turns me on, it's fucking you hard so you have to fight the urge to scream that does it." Even though Jun didn't want to admit it, he knew he lost. The finger at his entrance slipped inside of him, soon followed by another one that crooked and twisted until he had to bite his lip hard to prevent himself from making any noises. He pressed his face on a pillow, making sure that if any embarrassing sounds would slip past his lips they would be stopped on the fabric. It seemed like the smaller man had decided to take his time, moving slowly even though Jun felt more than ready.

"Just fucking get over with it." He muttered when he started to get impatient. Kazunari chuckled lowly, lying down on top of him so he could feel his breath on his neck.

"Why the rush? If you are like this I might start thinking you only like me for my body." The smaller man breathed in Jun's ear, making him groan.

"If you don't get on with this right now I swear you will never top me again." He said.

"Sounds like an interesting bet." Ninomiya chuckled.

"Damnit Kazu." Jun cursed, pushing his hips up against the other man, feeling his erection brush against his ass.

"Now who's the slut?" Kazunari laughed softly but he finally gave in and entered his lover with one swift move. When he snapped his hips again Jun immediately hide his face in the pillow, groaning with pleasure which to his luck was barely hearable. Kazunari didn't seem satisfied by this though, trusting more roughly and making the other man see stars behind his closed eyes. The friction of the sheets against his erection was barely satisfying enough but when the smaller man slipped a hand underneath him which wrapped around it, he had to bite his lip to bleeding to avoid himself to make sounds. Though even then a muffled groan slipped past, sounding way too loud to his liking in the otherwise silent apartment. On the edge of coming he tensed even more, feeling Kazunari's hips waver and the hand around him and the other one on his hip tightening, making him spill his seeds on the sheets. He could hear a whispered curse from his lover, a few more trusts before the man pulled out and came over Jun's back. Panting the smaller man let himself fall down next to Jun, one of his hands staying on the taller man's ass as they both lay motionless.

"You are unbelievable." Matsumoto muttered after a while.

"Why don't you just admit that you loved it?" Ninomiya threw back at him, curling to the taller man's side like a satisfied cat.

"We should take a shower." Matsumoto muttered, wanting to get up but his lover stopped him.

"Nice way to attract attention, taking a shower in the middle of the night. Your lovely sounds did more than enough for their imagination already I think, we don't need to confirm anything they might have heard." Ninomiya chuckled when Jun swatted away his hand and got up anyway.

"Then why did you come all over me jackass?" He said madly.

"To mark my territory." The older man said with a yawn, looking at him lazily. "But it's cold so come back soon."

"Whatever." Matsumoto muttered, quickly turning around to hide the goofy smile that appeared on his face. Even though neither of them would show too much affection openly, these small moments would always make his heart beat faster. Even when he didn't want to admit it, not even to himself. After quickly washing away the evidence of their activities with a wet towel he slipped back into the guest bedroom, seeing the other man had curled up in the middle of the bed. With still a soft smile on his face he slipped into the bed as well, making sure they were both covered and allowing the smaller man to curl against his side to continue to sleep.

"I love you Kazu." Jun muttered softly, closing his eyes and feeling the chuckle of the other man.

"Cheeky." Ninomiya sighed before his breath evened out, making Matsumoto groan and almost take back his words but in the end he didn't, letting himself be embraced by Morpheus.
