MASTERPOST

Ohno came into the apartment and, without turning the lights on, walked to his bedroom. He was fully aware of what was waiting for him there, so he just stopped at the entrance. Satoshi looked at the beautiful innocent angel who was sleeping peacefully in his bed, holding his master’s pillow and breathing calmly.

“How can he sleep that peacefully after all the things I did to him?” asked the Moratorium’s owner to himself for the millionth time, still not finding an answer. His conscience made sure for him not to forget about the events that had taken place a few years ago. Ever since, he has been trying to bear with the punishment he has been given: a blind and boundless love from that boy whose soul he has destroyed. His loyal servant started to move a bit impatiently, but he was still asleep. Satoshi sighed.
Could he ever be forgiven?

~*~

It was raining heavily. Ohno stood with a closed umbrella, wet and lost in thoughts. It was late October, and his little revenge plan had just been set in motion. He was aware that he was going to need an accomplice. But, he didn’t have any loyal friends, just a few employees who weren’t worth trusting.

The water was cold, but he didn’t seem to care. Pneumonia didn’t scare him that much. After quite a long while, Satoshi decided to come back home. As soon as he arrived to his house, he heard some strange noise coming from his right side. It was his new employee - Takaki - carrying some big, unidentified object. When the young man came closer, the club’s owner could see clearly that Takaki was holding on an unconscious boy instead of an object. The boy was wet, dirty and obviously sick. This image was so pitiful and heartbreaking that Ohno took the child in with him. As soon as they reached the Moratorium, the owner commanded to bring the kid to his private room, which was located at the rear of the building.

- Call Kei-chan, - said the owner while sitting beside his new ‘guest’, who had a stinking smell and whose beautiful face was covered in dirt. The older man reached out to touch the unconscious boy's face and caressed it gently. Meanwhile, Ohno’s employee, Inoo Kei also known as Kei-chan, was about to enter the room carrying a big black bag in his hand. He had been smiling every step of the way and continued smiling when he entered Ohno's room. However, as soon as he noticed the owner's displeasure in his face, his smile faded. This so-called doctor was one of Ohno's most loyal employees.

Back in the days, Inoo Kei was pursuing a degree in medicine. He was commonly known as Kei-chan on campus. Kei-chan loved medicine and college life, but he didn't have the amount of money needed to finish his career. Unable to find a stable and profitable job, Ohno's employee had to quit school. He had given up on his dream to become a doctor until he met his boss. One of the hosts of the manager's bar had an accident on their way out of work. Luckily, the young man was passing by and was able to put his knowledge in medicine into practice. He saved the host's life and won Ohno's interest. Not having a policy nor a health plan for his business, Ohno believed that this young man could be helpful in the far future.

- Check him out! - were the only words uttered by Satoshi. The young ‘doctor’ started to examine the little boy, muttering some incomprehensible words and slowly undressing his patient to get rid of his wet clothes. He didn’t forget about the warm blankets traditionally used for cases like this and heated some saline. The restoration of proper body temperature was high priority in the condition the small child was in. After regulating his temperature, Inoo was ready to give the unconscious boy a quick bath. To prevent pneumonia, the young man would wash the boy with a sponge and warm water only. As soon as Kei-chan started bathing the boy, the young patient started coughing and breathing heavily. This was a good sign. It meant that the boy's lungs were properly working, facilitating his recovery. The most important thing after all was to help this little fellow survive.

- He needs some antibiotics and lots of rest. That’s all I can do for him right now.

- Thank you, Kei-chan. I’ll send somebody to the pharmacy. Just write down everything he needs.

- Yes, sir… - Inoo bowed and left the room.

***

A few weeks later, Ohno's guest was feeling a lot better. The boy's name was Chinen Yuuri and, surprisingly, he had started to trust his savior. Within a couple of days, Chinen was already calling Ohno ‘master’. When he was fully recovered, the Moratorium’s owner called him to his office to have a conversation with him.

- Yuu-chan… I avoided this topic, but I want you to know one thing. If you wanna stay here, you need to tell me something about yourself. Don’t get me wrong. I just want to know whether I can get myself into trouble if you stay here.

Chinen looked at him with worry written all over his face. He truly wanted to say no, but he had remembered something… There was one person who could bring his rescuer problems. However, the boy was afraid that, if he said a word about it, Satoshi would throw him out. He couldn’t go back to the streets. For this reason, he began to talk:

- There is… somebody… who can… cause… some trouble. It’s my stepfather.

- OK... What kind of trouble?

- I don’t know. He loves me… the way he shouldn’t, and he can try to take me back… by force. - The boy hid his face in his hands, trying not to think about that eventuality. Suddenly, he felt a warm hug.

- Don’t worry. I’ll protect you. - This scent… It was bringing dizziness, and that touch was reminding him that he was missing something. Was he missing love in his life? Was this sensation the beginning of love? Yuuri wasn’t sure yet, but deep within his heart he knew that he was feeling something strong for his savior.

- Yuu-chan…? - Ohno said looking straight into his eyes. - Do you want to get revenge on… that man?

Chinen tried not to look at the club’s owner. He just stood there with eyes piercing the floor and silent. What did Ohno mean by “revenge?”

- I can let you kill him if you want. - Satoshi said before the boy could have answered the previous question. The young boy’s eyes widened with surprise. Did he want that awful man to suffer? Yes, he did... without a doubt. He deserved a slow and extreme pain.

“Could he be reading my mind?,” Chinen thought to himself, and a few small tears ran down his cheeks while he was nodding his head in approval. This was the beginning of big and irremediable changes in both men's lives. For better or for worse, their future was about to change.

***

About a week later, Chinen was driven to an old, abandoned factory. It was late and, except for him, there was only one person inside the vehicle: Nakajima. Yuuri didn’t like him much, but he didn’t hate him either. You could say that he was indifferent to this man. He was a skilled driver though. In fifteen minutes, they had reached the destination point.

There were no lights inside the big hall, except the ones from the car’s headlights. The young boy could only notice the silhouettes of six men: four of them were standing, one was sitting on a chair, and the last one was kneeling and begging for mercy. When Chinen’s eyes got used to the darkness, he recognized two of the figures involved: the pathetic man begging for his life was his stepfather and the seated man was Ohno. The boy was hit by this whole situation. This was the right time. This was the place where he could get rid of the person who had been causing him so much pain. But, was it really OK? Was this the best way to solve his problem?

- As I promised, Yuu-chan, you can do whatever you want with him, - Satoshi said calmly after he approached him and handed him a gun. Chinen looked at his master and, silently, took the pistol in his small hand. He had never used a gun before, so one of the gang members working for Ohno - Arioka - showed him how to use the weapon by shooting into the air twice.

The kneeling man looked at his stepson and seemed to relax as if aware of his safety now. He was sure that his precious little boy was going to shoot those bastards’ heads off. He was so wrong… Yuuri walked toward the beaten man and looked at him. He was a completely different person now. Chinen looked like a grown-up now. Any notions of his childhood had already left his soul.

- Nee, Yuu-chan… Let’s go home… We… - The man didn’t finish his sentence because he was slapped in the face by his used-to-be-loved's small hand.

- Shut up! There's only one person who can call me that, and he's sitting right over there, - Chinen said pointing at Ohno. He was surprisingly calm, or maybe ‘cold’ was a better description for his state. The young boy stretched out his hand with the gun. It was steady, as if this hadn't been his first time killing someone. Yuuri’s stepfather realized that this was the end for him and started to scream in panic.

A scream followed by a BANG!!! Silence… A few drops of blood marked Chinen’s face. But, something more painful had marked his heart.

~*~

- Master… Why are you looking at me like that? Something happened?

Ohno came back to reality from those memories and smiled. It was too late for everything. He just couldn’t repair the damage he had caused.

- No… I was just thinking… I’m going to take a shower. You, be a good boy and go back to sleep. - Satoshi went to the bathroom. After fifteen minutes, he entered his bedroom with his hair wet and half naked. He moved toward a window to look outside. The night was peaceful and warm. You could easily lose yourself in thoughts by merely looking at the city lights. At that moment, the young master could feel some small hands encircling his chest. Chinen was hugging him from behind.

- You can’t sleep?

- It’s too cold.

- But, it’s hot outside. - The Moratorium’s owner turned around and looked at his servant. Yuuri didn’t move his hands and even cuddled closer. Satoshi caressed his hair slowly, and it seemed that this moment could last forever. But the boy made one wrong move: his fingers started to travel down the older man's chest and tried to reach the edge of the towel. Ohno reacted immediately by pushing Chinen away gently but firmly and with the same face as always.

- Yuu-chan, no... Nothing has changed between us even after what happened yesterday. Now, go back to bed. Maybe it’d be better if you go to your own room. - The man really thought that way. But why? Because he loved Chinen too much to go to bed with him. At least, not before Ohno could forgive himself after all the bad things he did to his precious boy. Yuuri looked at his master with teary eyes and, silently, went out of the room. He knew that any kind of resistance was useless. Therefore, after Satoshi was alone, he grabbed his phone and dialed a number he used to pick out when those little hands aroused him. He just needed to get rid of the tension he had in his loins.

 Hello, Kei-chan…?

~*~

Ninomiya stood in his apartment’s balcony just to have a view of the city, which seemed to have woken up already. He was lost in his thoughts and concerned by two things. The first one of these things had to do with last night’s situation with Matsumoto inside the Moratorium’s VIP room. He got slightly carried away. Slightly?! It was a big issue! He had sex with that actor, spontaneously, without any warnings. It was rough and he liked it, maybe even too much. Kazunari clicked his tongue. This was troublesome because the photographer was fully aware that he was going to be tempted to repeat that night sometime in the nearest future. Was it love? No, of course not... Nino wasn’t the kind of person who got involved in any kind of emotional relationship. He had tried it before, but he simply wasn’t the type of man who called, sent text messages or mails, or even had time to date. That’s why he always ended up alone and was considered a heartbreaker. Love wasn’t for him. So, even if he wanted to spend time with Jun more regularly, it would merely imply a contract between them and nothing more. But, now, it could be difficult, or even impossible, to make that kind of deal. And this brought him to the second thing that worried him: Ohno’s revenge. Normally, he wouldn’t mind. He was already known as a destroyer of lives. But, in this situation, he didn’t know the reason behind the plot and it troubled him. Of course, he had to agree and take those damn pictures, but he would only be doing it half-heartedly. Nino wasn’t convinced this time. He needed to know Satoshi’s motivation, or else he wouldn’t be able to make a really good job. The only way he could find out about what he wanted to know was either ask Ohno directly or talk to Sakurai. He chose the second option, got dressed, and went to Sho’s apartment without any thought-out plan in his mind.

***

Aiba was surprised to see an unknown person behind the front door. He tried to button up his shirt while asking politely:

- How can I help you?

- Is Sakurai-san in?

- No, he’s at work. Can I ask who requests him?

Ninomiya frowned. He should have thought about this before. It was obvious that, at this time, he should have gone to the news studio and not here. But, maybe, it was better this way? Perhaps Aiba knew something?

- My name is Ninomiya Kazunari, and I am a photographer. Can I come in? I would like to ask you a few questions.

- Me? Why? - Masaki suddenly became more cautious. He was aware that his lover was a popular newscaster. Thus, he didn’t want to bring him any troubles.

- Don’t worry. I am a photographer, not a journalist. I have some questions about last night.

Suddenly, all the pieces of the puzzle gathered in Aiba’s head were rightfully connected. That short man was the one who took pictures of the incident yesterday, pictures that could affect Sho’s professional life forever. The bartender moved aside and invited the guest in. He noticed that Nino had been beaten recently, but that wasn’t the most important thing right now. Making sure that this man wasn't planning on using those photos to harm Sho was his priority.

- Ask me then, - Masaki said calmly without any unnecessary speech. Ninomiya stayed silent, not knowing how to put his thoughts into words clearly. He couldn’t just ask something like “Hey! Do you happen to know why would Ohno want to destroy your boyfriend?” At that moment, the photographer had no doubt that he had made the mistake of coming here without a plan.

- You know that I took pictures yesterday, right?

- Yes...

- I was just wondering if your boyfr… Sakurai-san would want to buy them from me.

- How much?

- What?

- How much do you want for them? I will buy them.

Kazunari didn't expect this. Of course, he couldn't reveal the fact that there were no pictures whatsoever, so he needed to play along. Nino clicked his tongue. The situation didn't look good. If Aiba kept pressuring about buying the pictures from him, the photographer's current situation promised to be even more complicated. Nino took deep breaths and, still without a plan, started to talk again:

- I hope Sakurai-san is OK after the wound he received on the head.

- He’s OK. Now, let’s get back to business. I will buy those photos from you no matter how much it costs me. State your price.

- How about seven hundred and fifty seven thousand American dollars? - Kazunari wanted to laugh, but Masaki interrupted him.

- Deal! Do you want it in cash or…

- Wait a minute! - Ninomiya’s eyes widened with surprise. How was a bartender, regardless of his genius, able to raise such an amount of money? Well, in fact, it didn’t matter now. Ohno still preferred another method of payment and Kazunari was fully aware of it.

- Wait… I don’t need money… I just…

- But you wanted Sakurai-san to purchase those photos from you. How was he supposed to do that without money? What other kind of payment is there?

“Checkmate!,” Ninomiya thought to himself. “Great, Ninomiya! You just proved that the newscaster will have to pay with his body! Damn… You better leave before you say something inappropriate.” Kazunari scolded himself and slowly started to walk towards the door. But Masaki stopped him, standing between the younger man and the exit.

- Ninomiya-san, we haven't finished our conversation? Have we?

- Aiba-san, I don’t think we have anything else to talk about. - Nino tried to bypass the bartender, but a strong hand prevented him from moving. The photographer could see his interlocutor’s face clearly and even found it attractive. Of course, the bartender wasn’t his type. However, Aiba had something that made him surprisingly handsome: teary eyes with strange sparks in them. Were these sparks a result of anger? Passion? Desire? But the most distinctive part of Masaki’s face happened to be just above his mouth: a small but explicitly outlined cavity right above the upper lip, which made his lips even more kissable. Ninomiya cought himself redhanded, thinking about licking those lips, and shook his head off. The bartender’s voice brought the photographer back to earth:

- I will pay you in exchange for those pictures. The price doesn’t matter to me. Just, please, don’t sell them to any magazine.

Aiba was desperate. If that short man didn’t want any money for the pictures, the bartender was ready to pay in any other way in order to protect his beloved man. Did he just think of Sho as his ‘beloved’? It was extremely soon to think this way, but Sakurai’s lover was sure about his real feelings toward the newscaster. Strange but true...

- Is it really OK? What if I asked you to do some… bad things? Would you agree?

- Yes. - With such a short answer, Masaki put his arm down and let the photographer go. Nevertheless, the short man didn’t move an inch. Nino was just at the edge of breaking up. He moved one step forward and started to kiss Aiba. It was strange yet exciting. At first, the taller man didn’t respond. As time passed by, he returned the kiss and added some tongue while pressing Kazunari against the doorjamb. Nino bit Masaki’s soft lower lip gently and clenched his hands on the bartender’s shirt’s sides, pulling him closer.

The kiss was rough, wet, and totally unplanned. The photographer broke it off almost as soon as it had started. He could barely catch his breath again. This was the worst thing he could do. Nino could feel the same desire he had felt for Jun that night burning up again. Nonetheless, it wasn't his job to seduce this poor man. He was only assigned to take pictures and nothing else. There was one thing he was sure of though: it wouldn't be hard for Matsumoto to take Aiba to bed if he played his role well. Somehow, Kazunari didn’t like the idea. He didn’t know why, but something here was obviously wrong. Looking straight into Masaki’s eyes he said:

- Be careful whom you kiss. To me, this was all a game, but some people could take advantage of you…

The front door slammed shut behind Aiba, waking him up from all numbness. Were Nino's words some kind of warning?
