You're not quite sure how it happened -- you ate some strange candy, made a wish, pissed off a witch, whatever -- all you know is that you're now reliving your childhood (literally). It's not one of his habits to wake up early -something before 11 am in his book- and much less to go and celebrate that fact at his father's place. But then, his Mom is in town and he had arranged to be early at Henry's place to be sure that Kara wouldn't sneak out of the family reunion.

God, he hated owing favours to his Dad.

The first thing Shawn noticed when he walked in was the nice smell coming out of the kitchen, his eyes drifting immidiatly to the kid, who was giving him her back and using his Dad's stove. An here he tought the stove was forbiden to little children and him inside of his Dad's household.

"Now Dad's renting Oompa-Loompas?"

"Look, Shawn, just because I'm short doesn't give you the right to..." Kara turned from her pancake and mess making mission to give her brother a displeased look.

And it was Kara. There was no doubt about that. She looked exactly as she had...what? 14? 15 years ago?

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

No prob. *pets* Work always finds a way to screw up awesomeness

Shawn blinked. Blinked twice behidnd of his shades.

Since when his Dad was hidding a... little cousin that looked exactly like his baby sister and hiding her in the basement?

Very slowly, he took off his sunglasses and placed them on the kitchen table, trying to find an explanation to all of this.

"You're... Uncle Jack's?"

Okay, Uncle Jack having kids isn't rational at all, but a dude can try, right?

Right? Ugh. At least we're closed the rest of the week.

"Nooooo. Are you okay? Did you fall off your bike on the way over? Are you trying out experimental drugs to make money again?" Because those were the only reasons Kara could think of that her brother would assume she belonged to her uncle. But then Kara hadn't seen herself in the mirror yet.

"Dad went to battle the grocery store -- or so his note says. Don't know where she is. But I was hungry so I thought pancakes. Chocolate Chip pancakes with whipped cream and sprinkles! Don't know why, but I was craving them like crazy when I woke up!"
