I'm confused... are they taking away free accounts, or reverting back to the refer-only accounts, or what? I don't feel like logging out to try and understand. Or maybe they are just going back to the free accounts, but they will be full of ads and only have 3 userpics? Bah. So many of the changes have been bad. If it turns into myspace or facebook, I may just up and leave eljay.

If you have a basic account (6 icons, no ads), nothing will happen. But, you can't make one anymore. Basically, new accounts will have ads whether they want them or not. Since I have a paid account, I don't see a difference. If I want to make another RP journal, I will notice though.

I think people are pissed cause they deleted it and then told everyone days later. I hope, hope, hope LJ doesn't turn into MySpace. I can sort of stand Facebook, but not MySpace.

That's totally lame. No wonder everyone's pissed. I guess I chose a bad time to be re-intrigued by RP. Then again, I guess it's an even better thing that the one in particular that interested me (b/c I could have been Naruto and it was new) was one that confused me too much to join.

Maybe someone else will buy out LJ again in the next year and change everything back. Or make it worse. Eh, we're probably screwed in the long run anyhow. Damn it.

Lame indeed. Yeah, why is it that RP communities are starting to get so complicated? I saw one and after the second page of rules and background information, I stopped reading about it. D: *shakes head*

I do hope someone better buys LJ. I blame SixApart for all the ads and shit that showed up here. Now LJ is owned by a Russian company that... doesn't really seem to care about what the consumer wants.
