Personality: Imagine that you packed cake, sparkles, all things cute and cuddly, rainbows, butterflies, kittens, and just the right amount of evil into a 4’9” body. You will have Hunny. He is bright, energetic, the cute sort of insistent, climbs all over everyone, talks in a high pitched little-boy-voice, carries a stuffed bunny around with him (lovingly named Usa-chan/Bun Bun/Mr. Bunny-it depends on the translation) and is rarely seen out of the company of his cousin Mori. Hunny tolerates most things. He can always be found eating some kind of confectionary or wiggling around on someone’s lap. His speech pattern is eccentric and random-Hunny will say whatever pops into his head and may jump from one thought to another out loud. He is a sweet-tempered, easily acceptable boy, loud and adorable and sweet as all hell. For the most part.
See, the thing is, Hunny is also kind of… scary, when he wants to be. He has a fairly short temper when it comes to certain things (though for the most part he’s fairly easy-going). In particular, waking up early and his precious stuffed bunny getting dirty while he takes a nap or leaves it otherwise unattended. Most of these terrifying moments, though, can be calmed through use of one Takeshi Morinozuka’s methods. Hunny will listen to whatever explanation for something Mori has to offer and will accept it instantly, no problem. As Hunny is everything to Mori, Mori is everything to Hunny. Hunny would probably do just about anything for Mori, no matter how outlandish or ridiculous-if Mori came up with something outlandish and ridiculous, anyway.
Despite his baby appearance, Hunny is an expert fighter. He has a black belt in karate and, though he rarely demonstrates it, when he does, it’s a sight to behold. Hunny can flip a guy with two whole feet on him with little to no effort whatsoever. It’s not often that Hunny uses his abilities, but rest assured that you certainly don’t want him to.
Canon Background: The Haninozuka family were an extremely prestigious family from the very beginning, with the Morinozuka family as their loyal servants. It was only when the two families intermarried and mingled that they became equals. As such, Mitsukuni “Hunny” Haninozuka and Takeshi “Mori” Morinozuka were, from the very beginning, going to be close at childhood and into adult life. They spent all their time together growing up, Mori watching over Hunny and Hunny… well, climbing all over him at every turn.
Hunny grew up in his father’s dojo, along wit his younger brother Yasuchika, and for a long time attempted to conceal his true personality-a love of all things cute and adorable-by pretending to be the tough guy. However, after Tamaki Suou approached Hunny and Mori and pitched them the idea of the Host Club, Tamaki convinced Hunny that it was perfectly acceptable to be himself. He and Mori have been the Host Club ever since, with Hunny designated the “Loli-shota type”.
Background (AU!Canon; HP): As a Pureblood family, the Haninozuka family is well-known in its generation after generation of talented Aurors, each one more than adept at dueling in particular. Each child born into the Haninozuka family is raised from their first year of Hogwarts to be an exceptional Dueler, and are trained for it even before then through books and literary references. The Morinozuka family, a family that served the Haninozuka family impeccably, continued to produce Aurors as well, until the families eventually intermarried and joined. The families have, since then, raised extremely talented Aurors, continuing to be rather close as the time went on.
As such, Hunny was trained from a very early age how to Duel, even if he had no wand to practice with. He grew up at odds with his younger brother, Yasuchika, who, despite being more practical and in many ways the opposite of Hunny, was not as proficient in his studies as Hunny was. Hunny spent a lot of his time in the company of his cousin Takeshi Morinozuka, whom everyone affectionately called “Mori”-except for Hunny, of course, who preferred his cousin’s given name. This was paralleled with Mori being one of the few to call Hunny “Mitsukuni.” It was no surprise to anyone when Hunny received his Hogwarts latterly, naturally having shown from a very early age an aptitude for magic. He received his letter on the same day as Mori did, and was just a little more than ecstatic knowing that he would be attending Hogwarts with his closest friend.
For the first year Hunny pretended to be just like the rest of the family, tough and uncaring, acting like he didn’t like anything cute and cuddly. But into their second year, Tamaki Suou came along and managed to convince Hunny otherwise, that it was okay to be yourself and not keep to your family’s standards.
As such, Hunny’s strong points at Hogwarts are Charms, in particular, having a natural aptitude for the spells. He takes every class that Takeshi takes (though this was probably more of a conscious effort on Mori’s part than Hunny’s, though Hunny would set it up as well if given the chance.) Rarely are the two seen together at Hogwarts, but when they are, you’d better believe that it won’t be for long.
How would your character fit in to each House?
Gryffindor; Hunny is generally the kind of person who will run and hide behind someone else when scares him, but he is ultimately a good friend and will back a person up under any circumstances. He will stand up for his friends in the blink of an eye, regardless of who he may be going up against.
Slytherin; For the most part Hunny is adorable and pleasant, but God save your soul if you catch the boy when he’s tired. It’s been said that if someone were to wake him up before he was ready, he could demolish entire buildings in his anger. (…Tamaki was the one to say it.). As well, Hunny is extremely devious when it comes to getting what he wants, and will use multiple tactics to try and get it. People usually see through him, though. He is also a Pureblood, and has absolutely no sense of what Muggle life is like whatsoever. He does not abhor the Muggle lifestyle, however, but rather is intrigued by it.
Hufflepuff; Hunny has a big heart, and reaches out to people often. He does his best to make others feel better about themselves, poking them to be happy and offering them his own possessions if it means that they will be as content as him. His loyalties are somewhat skewed at times (he once chose cake over his brother-in the loosest sense, as it was cake or letting his brother win a fight.) But even during an argument, afterwards, Hunny will quickly forgive and forget.
Ravenclaw; Hunny is extremely perceptive despite his childlike appearance. He figures out people’s emotions and thoughts quickly and is often the first to understand a situation. He has expert tactical skills, though a lot of that may be chalked up to reflexes.
