"unfortunately since has not gotten a role worthy of her immense talents"
Isn't that the frakkin' truth. I do like her on Longmire, but even that doesn't let her play up to her potential. She's got greatness in her still, and I want to see it.
Ditto to the above commenters that Longmire isn't worthy of Katee's talents! It is indeed always good to see praise for Kara Thrace. I wish that Bionic Woman had been better, and lasted longer, because her role in that was my favorite role of hers post-BSG. I really want to see her shine again!
But Tara, as I just commented on the article itself - I don't think Kara was an antihero. The fact that the author of that article thinks she was, mainly because of her "behaving like a man," kind of just further proves Alyssa's point. The only time Kara behaves like a villain is when she's cheating on Sam; that's a pretty minor crime, compared to Walter White or Tony freaking Soprano.
True, I don't really view her as an antiheroine. Although the definition of that word--and antihero-- can be pretty loose. I think a lot of times it's used to describe characters who are mean, immoral, and violent, even if not criminals. And I think Kara can arguably considered all of those things. (Heck, those are some of the qualities I love most about her! ;)
Ironically, I think in the strictest literal definition of the word, she is anti- the antithesis- of most heroines as they're depicted in fiction. Which is what makes her so awesome to me. But that would also mean that being an antihero would be something entirely different from being an antiheroine anyway, and you couldn't really compare the two by any similar criteria.
For me Kara is the best character, and since I saw the series for the first time, I fell in love with Katee Sackhoff, as a good person he is, and great actress.

And every time I see a picture, I'm just reminded again how unconventionally pretty she is.
