I was thinking more along the lines of giving presents to each other, not expecting them from the fae.

That happened too. There were merchants around here last year, so we could buy stuff from them. They weren't very demanding.

Now. Should son tell dad about the Watch Meeting? On one hand, he feels like he should, because it's his father, and also to spite Karkat....but no. That's not the ~mature~ thing to do. At least the second part isn't. And - as much as he hates to admit it, maybe even won't admit it - Father might prove to be dangerous. Or rather, Sargeras might. And Sargeras might take the meeting as provocation, or something.
