once upon a time there was a boy who really liked almonds. one day, he decided to feed them to the elephant at the zoo because he had heard elephants liked peanuts, and he thought "almonds taste better, so maybe the elephant will like them, too!" after feeding the elephant 3 almonds, it suddenly turned pink. although the boy felt great remorse over his terrible deed, it was the last day he spent as a free young boy because the next day the zoo's attorney prosecuted him and sent him to the local prison.
but what happened to the elephant, you may ask? after a 24-hour period, the allergic reaction subsided and he was left with a permanent, slightly purplish tint. the public took a shine to the grape-colored elephant and he was soon the top celebrity gracing the covers of ElephantToday, the daily tabloid of the elephant world!
all this from a few almonds...

Once upon a time a young girl fell in love. It was everything she'd ever dreamed of and more. Moonbeams and stardust, handholding and innocent kisses. Then one day, out of no where it seemed, he left. He gave her no explanation or reason and left her completely heart broken and alone. For 5 months her love for him kept growing even though she didn't see him or speak to him, then one day he came back. He promised her the stars again and all was right in her small naive world. For two years he did this to her. Left her and came back and left her again. One day, after he'd came back, she sat crying on her bedroom floor, for she knew not how long he'd be staying and she decided that she couldn't do it anymore. Though she loved him, she needed more, deserved more from the boy-growing into a man she loved. She promised herself then not to fall for it again and to tell him not to speak to her anymore or to come by. That night she picked up the phone and dialed his number.
