The last time I had hot drinks from Mcs was long time ago, and they have this styrofoam covers which don't have this little nifty feature.

Actually Mc used to have this feature but instead of a square, it was a round "button" like thing which works the same way :) Totally not obvious unless you are looking for it.

erm, sorry i'm kinda lost (cuz i also NEVER drink take-away coffee/tea)
but is the hole for the air to get in, or to fit your nose when you tip your cup into your mouth ???

See that the little cover is missing in the last pic? The hole's for the cover to fit in so that the cover (as shown in the second pic) doesn't get in your way when you drink.

Oh I've seen this before! Not sure if on McD coffee, but I also thought it very ingenious. But
this is even cooler, IMO. I hope to see it in person one day, haha.

Yah, but I'm sure it's more expensive to make too. I'm already happy with this :) Makes me want to buy another cuppo tomorrow morning.
