This old guy moved into an apartment at the end of the hall, and I think he's plotting to kill me.  The man never seems to be in his apartment.  For the first couple weeks, he and another man would either just be walking in the hallway or standing in front of the building.  For a minute I thought maybe this was the elusive management company that ( Read more... )

I'm oddly fascinated by your mysterious man at the end of the hall. It's very Spike Jonze ala Being John Malkovich. I also have thought about screwing the system and expanding my studio apartment on to other platforms (ie the hall way, fire escape, etc). Maybe he's just lost his marbles.

I've been laying low a lot. My trademark good at life plan has hit a snag, damn trademark paper work. Have a good weekend, you sound like life, even with small life snags, is going fabulously well.

yeah, dude totally freaks me out. and when i finally get to doing laundry i'll have to walk through his den and i'm not looking forward to it. i don't make friends with people in my building.

yes, no complaints here. life is good.

that paragraph about the old guy is one of the best things i've read in a while. i'm intrigued. does he keep stuff on this desk? or is it empty? doesn't he worry it will be stolen? and what is he doing at this desk when you walk by? reading? writing? does he have a computer? a typewriter? a cat? an old hat? beef jerky? tea? file folders?
