Yesterday was the deadline to nominate gardens for the 2010 Somerville Garden Club garden tour.  I went on the 2008 tour, and had been interested in being part of a future tour, but was being somewhat angsty about it, and only found out about the 2010 tour yesterday.  Yes, on the due date.  I was convinced to sent in a nomination last night anyway

They actually extended the deadline to August 5 (according to an announcement sent to the mailing list) so you should be fine. I hope they do pick yours!

Oh, cool! Good to know they extended that. I actually also got around to renewing my membership (I'd been lazy about sending it in this year) and said I'd be willing to be on the group to review gardens for the tour, because, ah, that sounded fun to me, being the garden person that I am. :)

Your garden should totally be on the garden tour! It's gorgeous! (I mostly only see the front, but what I've seen of the back is great too).

For the people going on the tour, I certainly hope you make it in. Although, I'll point out that if you did miss the deadline, you'll have more time to tour the other gardens.

Last year, they had a time the night before the actual tour for the people whose gardens were on the tour to go around and look at the gardens on the tour. I think they've even thought of that problem. :)
