I wrote about today back in 2005I've already unfollowed about four people on Facebook and one on Twitter for suggesting her death is something to be celebrated. I'll keep doing that. *shrugs*. I feel very strongly indeed that

I'm sure this is simply due to me being a dumb Yank and all, but I have never understood the vitriol directed at her. It seems comparable to how many Americans feel about George W. Bush. I didn't like the guy's politics, but he seems like a well-meaning person, and I wouldn't throw a party if he were to die tomorrow. Very odd to me when people get like this.

Rather a lot of people lost their jobs as a result of her policies; don't you think it's understandable that those people would be angry with her?

That's a reason to dislike her policies, not literally throw a party celebrating her death.
