Still ouch

The dog bite I wrote about yesterday over there is worse today; the whole back of my hand is puffy and red and warm to the touch and my index finger is bigger than ever. I'm going to the doctor this afternoon to see about getting some antibiotics.

On the plus side, I am getting pretty good at 9-finger typing.

Okay, number one, I didn't even know you had another journal, and number two, OUCH! If it's swollen up that badly, it's definitely time to get it checked out. I'm glad you're going to the doctor today!

I cheat on my other journal with this LJ.

Antibiotics are a wonderful thing; after only two doses my hand is already much less puffy.

Touch wood, I've never been bitten by a dog, a cat bite is bad enough. Antibiotics good!

If I'd had to bet which of my mom's pets would bite me, my money would have been on the cat. Color me surprised.

I've read that cat bites are more likely to get infected than dog bites ... small consolation when my hand was all puffy.
