Thank you for sharing that story K. I had absolutely no idea what you went through with the birth of A. I wasn't exactly in the loop at that time. I think it's excellent that you got it out there, it's another way of healing one's self. I suggest maybe a little drawing. Recently I drew some rough sketches of how I felt while I was at the hospital. It took me 8 bloody years to finally get it out of my system. It makes me think that women don't seem to talk about the bad times of giving birth, it still seems to be a taboo subject, it's a shame. Also it makes me wonder what the men go through seeing their loved ones go through this event. I dare say they maybe crying "inside".

Thank-you for sharing your story, I had heard bit and pieces from you at different times. But it was good to be able to read (and then re-read) your story and your experiences. I can't believe they got you to sign a form to put Alyssa onto Formula. Isn't it interesting that it is the little things such as form signing, that stick in our minds and make us doubt ourselves. But look at Alyssa now ... how strong and assertive she is .. and oh that smile!!! We must catch up and do lunch soon.

Thank you for sharing that...it was wonderful and eye opening to read. My god, i didn't know they made you sign a form like that! In those early days, it so easy for little things to happen that make you doubt your ability to be a good mother...and having to sign that form, well, i can imagine that would have just about killed me!
I often lament that i never wrote my birth story down...maybe i should get off my butt and write what i remember, so that it too is not lost in the dark recesses of my memories. :-)
