It wasn't until I took Polish classes in Krakow that I ever really wrote in Polish without having my mom proofread it. It's hard to break free from English grammatical structures, especially when even your parents sometimes speak in a Polish/English mix. In French I try to avoid the grammar problem by not attempting complicated sentences.
And it's the 6th week into my semester and I've turned in 4 spanish papers and haven't gotten an A on any of them, and I have the sneaking suspicion I probably won't get one the rest of the semester...
yeah. i didn't mean to be all bitchy-sounding and grade-whorish, it's just that these classes are more demanding and I'm not used to it. and maybe the As i got in those other spanish classes aren't really mine, you know? but these grades are mine. all stay-awake-till-5AM mine.
