Hah! I turn fifty in a couple of weeks and so many folks are making such a big deal about it and I'm like. I don't feel fifty. I don't look fifty. So what?

Like you the women in our family live long and fruitful lives. My grandmother was ninety nine when she passed on and her sister is one hundred and one, so I'm hoping I've got their genes in the pool and they work their magic.

As for senior discounts, I'll take them as soon as they're offered. Even if I have to show ID to prove it. *g*

I think part of the real joy of being this age is that I don't feel it or act it, and I'm surrounded by people online and in real life who have the same philosophy.

Senior Citizen meals really are a good deal. The portions are smaller and they're cheaper.

Hi there :D :D
I'm going to be 55 this year, and its great to see another oldtimer on LJ.
I've felt the same since I was about 36,just go with the age and state of mind you feel comfortable with.

Happy birthday!
