I was doing so good keeping up with emails and LJ. Then my aunt's hip broke. She didn't fall, the joint just kinda broke as she was walking across the room. When you're 95 and have osteoporosis this can happen, then you fall. Fortunately she was down less than 1/2 hour when her friend came by.
She had surgery and got a new hip and was walking

I'm glad to hear that your aunt's doing so well. My husband's grandmother had that same issue over the summer, except in her case, her husband tried to catch her, and they both ended up on the floor - her with a broken hip and him with a broken nose.
They were able to rehab her hip without replacement surgery, though, which was fortunate. I can't even imagine me being on my feet three days after replacement surgery, though. She does sound like a remarkably strong woman.
