I'm still in Pittsburgh...I just moved from my old, four bedroom house to a chic one bedroom apartment in Friendship.

I'll be in New York next year. :)

I haven't started yours either... two months of crazy constant work and then I just got back from some time in NYC, but I will start soon!

Are you building a bike through that program where people build bikes for eachother? I forget what it's called, somebody was telling me about it the other week and it sounded pretty rad...

Yah, the program is called Free Ride. They're on 214 N. Lexington Ave. (off of Penn near Fifth, I think), they're open on Saturdays from 1-4 and Thursdays from 6-10, and their phone number is 412.731.4094.

I think the deal is that you build the bike for free, then in return you teach a class to kids on how to build /their/ bikes for free. I'm not really sure though...there's probably some volunteer work involved. I'll let you know when I go talk to them on Tuesday.

re: 3) when does duchess go up? i'm crossing my fingers that its november.

re: 6) can "in person" mean over the phone? i'd like to hear about new happy things! (people.. animals..?)

Duchess goes up in December, I think...sometime around the first two weekends, I think? I think it's Arcadia that goes up in November, but I'll get back to you.

And yeah, I'll call you soon. We can't talk about animals though...the puppy thing was a hoax. I'll post about it when I have more time. :(
