You are very brave. I avoid Facebook and Twitter like the plague: the former because I fear reconnecting with people from "home" and the former because I'm anti-character limit. It's possible that another reason is that I waste enough of my time already! (ha ha ha) Also, I think the older I get, the less tolerant I am of humanity. I'm not interested in debating, really. Of course, if I had a few rum and cokes... Cheers!

P.S. What's your weather like? I'm going to a wedding in Chapel Hill a week from Saturday.

our weather is up and down. sunday was 60ish and sunny, yesterday was cold as balls. today was in between. they are forecasting a 'wintry mix' this weekend. hoorah.

Good thing I'm not coming this weekend! Right now I think the winds around here could be classified as "gale force", but I'm not a meteorologist or anything...

Same here - i.e. I've reconnected with people I went to high school with and they're all the same. Fortunately they aren't members of the far right christian conservative consortium. They're Republican but it seems to be more about money than anything else. Which has always been the case and I was always the bleeding heart. So I guess I haven't really changed much either.

Your peeps definitely have bigger, more judgmental mouths. And I don't get the jesus christ thing. Maybe it's just me but it seems that you'd have to have a pretty big ego to ever think it's within your right to demand someone else to pay homage to your religious belief system by obeying arbitrary rules of spelling and grammar.

right? that's kinda how I felt. but yeah, it's basically two effers...well 4, but 2 libertarians who STILL act like they are 13, one christian right wing judgmental fuckhole and one moderate who is willing to reason. don't get much from the womens.

I'm not on FB or Twitter. LJ is enough for me, and I'm still on MySpace for music stuff.

AND...I joined LinkedIn for professional networking. I'll let you know if it gets me a job. I just requested you to join my network. No 3G coverage, though. Sorry!

ha, Luddite. I don't understand Twitter at all. Facebook is just so easy. I don't even understand what 3G is, and I have LinkedIn, but don't really understand that either. I said understand 3 times.

3G was a reference to those Verizon and AT&T cell network commercials.

Most of the stuff I think is funny other people think is just weird. ;)

oh man, i've been holding my tongue so long on this subject. i thought it was just me. my FB friends, mostly those from high school, are republicans and very very religious. some of my closest friends from high school will actually quote some scripture as their post! some of them are even for sarah palin! what idiots!

and, as if you couldn't tell, i've picked up the habit of using too many explanation points. all thanks to FB!!!1
