As the teenager sleeps away, I'm being quiet, drinking my second cup of tea and catching up on e-mail and LJ with one eye on the backyard bird feeder. I also intend to read the newspaper and fix pasta salad for tomorrow.
What to do today; mow yard, run errands, and begin packing for this Thursday's flight to Los Angeles and BookExpo (!!!!).

Mother’s Day actually started right at midnight for me. I was being my son’s chauffer, as his high school band had their annual banquet and dance at a small hotel in Austin. He got into the car right around 11:55 pm and exactly at 12:00 am said "Happy Mother's Day." Sometimes, he can do the right thing at the right time

All of the thank you notes from the Neb’s have been mailed, and we are waiting on only two checks to close out our books and pay the hotel. Now I can more easily move onto other aspects of my life

This was a moderately slow weekend at our house, I cleaned the kitchen on Saturday am while Matthew slept (woke him up at 11:00) and ran errands. We went over to my mom’s house for lunch then came home to paint (rosemary green) the first coat for the back bedroom
