I just glanced at the list and saw maybe a handful of the 200-something items would apply to me.

I think it should say that it's a list of what upper-middleclass and rich white people like...most of it doesn't apply to poor and blue collar working stiffs who just happen to be Caucasian.

And the strawberry comment is true - I got some strawberries from Food Lion last month and no lie, it was like I was eating plastic.

So I'll go all white on the Farmers Market thing if it means the damn food taste like food.

So I'll go all white on the Farmers Market thing if it means the damn food taste like food.I remember when strawberries were only available in June; ditto Vidalia onions, I always looked forward to late May and the month of June for Vidalia onions to get to the produce section of my local grocery stores, and I was very sad when they disappeared by the end of July...because that was their season ( ... )

I apologise if this is naive of me >.> but I was under the impression people decided they liked or disliked stuff based on their, erm, likes and dislikes, not their ethnic group?

The thing I was really getting at is that pigeonholing people based on a common characteristic is a negative gesture. There's a trend too that it's okay to deride white culture - which to me is an oxymoron, since there are so many different societies across the whole of this world that who on earth knows which one is the true "white culture" anyway ( ... )

For the most part, America and Britain speak the same language - but I'm absolutely sure there are enormous cultural differences based on the ways in which our countries have evolved since America's independence and what's more, that those differences are a healthy and normal part of human society.
