In honor of the Doctor Who season finale today, I've changed my icon. Ten says his mannerisms are built upon Five, but whenever I watch David Tennant, I see Tom Baker.

My 28th birthday is next week. My husband "gave" me my birthday present yesterday, though: a trip to Sam Ash to purchase this sweet piece of electric violin heaven:

Oh yeah--- I loved how most of it turned out! They really made us freak out, didn't they!!! I heard we will only have four episodes now until 2010!!!

But wouldn't the sudden disappearance of gov't be a GOOD thing? The Garbage me would probably show up for work with their trucks and we'd thank them, but who cares if elected officials come into their offices to piddle, twiddle and resolve to lay a 3% tax on the rental or sale large earth moving equipment to fund the, "send me to a conference in the south Pacific that escaped unscathed from alien invasion".

Sorry, I've lived in NJ too long . . . all of our politicians are crooks, some of them even convicted!

Speaking of electric violins, have you heard of these? I saw one a few years ago at a Groovelily concert. It was the first time I'd seen a violinist who was also the lead singer doing both simultaneously.

Oh, they look wonderful. I've heard of them, and I drool. I do eventually want to get a violin that has five strings... and to be able to sing while playing the violin...
