Gardening yay!

I have a wonderful neighbor with an amazing green thumb. She recently helped me save my sago palm and is donating some bromeliads she doesn't want to the cause of helping our front yard not look so much like a disaster area. Anyway, I was wondering what a bromeliad was when she pointed to something already in my "flowerbed." Something that hadn't ( Read more... )

Nope. She only knew the kind she was giving me, and I've forgotten the name. They are now installed next to my porch.

And to think I just saw it as a normal green plant up until today. Awesome.

You know that pineapples are bromeliads and they're super easy to root?

Someone down the street showed me their pineapple patch a few days ago, and I just about died and went to heaven. I am totally going to do that the next time I go to the supermarket and buy a pineapple.

Really, some things are just awesome.

She really does. It's amazing what she does with her front yard. The rest of us in the neighborhood just kind of try to keep up, and fail. LOL!
