In which yours truly flails a little about Star Trek movie rumors

... okay, can we not do the time-travel thing just this once? Evil Romulans from the future? What? That stinks of bad fanfic. And I suppose there will be many explosions for the fourteen-year-old boys, and Zoe Saldana in a miniskirt for the fourteen-year-old boys, and Eric Bana chewing the scenery for the twenty-eight-year-old women. (Romulan ale? Oh, wait, evil Romulan ale?) And Kirk's mom is named Winona?
What about the Romulan hippies? Aren't there any Romulan hippies from the past?
Evil Romulans from the future.

Pictures here. I do have to say, though, that Zachary Quinto makes an excellent Spock, and the full-cast photo descends straight into the Uncanny Valley. This might almost make up for the fact that they are doing another time travel movie with evil Romulans from the future.
