Fic: Don't Even Try It [No Seriously, Don't] -Havemercy- R/T

I was glowering down the bar at the so-called 'innocent' I have been travelin' with fer the past month. Right now, though, he seemed ta be more like a minx than anything else. He was talking to some guy about some bastion-be-damned landmark he had wanted to see. Although the smoke was thick in the air and the lighting rather dim, I didn't need to see his face ta know he was getting excited 'bout it. Thom's eyes lit up when he was actually happy about somethin' and fuck if it wasn't the cutest damn thing I've seen.

I could tell his companion was thinking the same thing I was.

The professor was smart in a very 'I read' fashion but it was up ta me to save his ass when someone tried to take advantage of him. Like now. The guy next to him didn't seem to be payin' any mind to what he had to say anymore. He was probably wondering how many more drinks he needed to buy him in order to carry him off. I knew the type. It made me want to deck 'im.

So the little professor went blissfully in his way and the guy leaned in toward him. That wasn’t gunna work for me. Quickly moving over to where Thom was I slung an arm ‘round his shoulders and glared at the guy with a smile on my lips.

“What’cha talking about?” I asked, eyes never leaving the guy’s face. I could tell he was unnerved- but at the same time he refused to back down.

“Oh we were just having a fascinating conversation about-” Thom started but I quickly cut him off.

“Wasn’t talkin’ to you, Princess; was talking to your friend here.” I pressed Thom closer to my side- willing this other man to even comment. My demeanor was confusing Thom, I could tell, he was getting fucking tense.

“Why do you want to know?” The more burly man growled at me. That was it. Letting go of Thom I moved quickly and punched him square in the mouth. He lunged back at me and we started to really tussle. I ignored Thom’s feeble pleas for us to stop; didn’t understand why he wanted us too, he was the damn cause.

I ended up with a black eye and a few bruises. The other guy was a bit worse for ware. I prided myself that one of ‘em medics was called for ‘im. But now the professor was lookin’ at me with that pouty gaze of his. We were kicked out’a the bar, sure, but he didn’t need to get huffy with me; the bastard had to coming.

“What is wrong with you, Rook?! Fighting? Were you just that desperate for a fight that you went and picked it on just some random guy that you met? One that I was holding a conversation with none the…” and I did what I always did, shut him up.

He gasped as I pushed him up against one of the buildings that lined this city’s streets and kissed him hard. It wasn’t sweet in the slightest, and I liked it that way. This time it wasn’t about feelings it was about possession. The Cindy professor belonged to me and he needed to fucking learn that fact. I pulled back from the brusing kiss, glaring down at his glazed over eyes.

“You’re mine, ya hear me? Better learn how to take better care of what’s mine. He fucking wanted you; I can’t blame ‘im, but you better wise up to it.” I growled in his ear and was more than a little bit satisfied by the shiver that ran down his spine.
