On topic: taking this to another level, listen to Act 2 of this episode. Fascinating.

Off topic: I think it is an intolerable travesty that you and ruthette have not been introduced. I mean you're both literature geeks, Shakespeare, Burns, you name it and you're both more than a little goofy regularly so it's about time kindred fruity forces were united in my opinion.

On topic: Thanks I'll have a wee listen to that.

Off Topic: I have friended said friend. I have, however, indicated that you were the introducing party. She may therefore run screaming from my 'friendship' :)

I think I felt the seismic tremor of the meeting of two powers of the 12th dorkitude right enough.

If anyone will end up running away screaming it's me.

Maybe it's best not to tell Roothie that I've met Karen in person...

I know some people who can't deal with silence at all, they always have to have some music or tv on in the background.

Though I often listen to my iPod at work to drown out all the noise of a big, open office landscape.

I suppose silence leaves people alone with their conscience. Perhaps more people would hear God's still small voice if they switched off their TV/radio more often.

In a legal environment silence is a powerful tool. In a negotiation or debate well-timed silence can completely throw the other side.
