I have a short list and a long list of the things I want to read and that I can write. I played with it, polished it. I could sign up now. I am hesitating. To sign up means to write. There is no defaulting. Can't do that to people. But will I find the time? If in doubt should I not stay out of it? *head scratches, ceiling gazing*
Well, two points to consider: It's a 1000 word minimum, which I haven't had trouble meeting, and there is in fact a deadline by which you can default without affecting possible future participation in Yuletide. That said, you'd have to decide how you'd feel about defaulting even before that deadline. The choice is of course yours, hon.
yesterday I filled out the form and entered. Given the numer of requesters and writers I saw, I've offered to write a few very obscure fandoms. Eagerly anticipating the assignments now. :)
As Yuletide announced that they will not take the stories offline, even if we begged, I entered under a different name. Up till now I've always wanted to take my stuff offline after a few years. Can't see why that wouldn't change.
I always put the whole fandom list through a two-part weeding process. First I remove all those fandoms I've never heard of and/or have no personal interest in reading/watching, plus all those I know I have zero interest in writing, like RPF. Then I go back through and remove all the ones that don't cause at least a tiny "eeeee!" reaction at the thought of getting them as a Yuletide writing assignment. That left me with 42 fandoms, which I offered. ^_^

No I'm not a Modern, Cool Nerd or no to signing up for Yuletide?
