Nice words. And look the Oyster Card, which apparently London Underground said was introduced to make things easier for passengers. They have a multitude of ways to keep tabs on us - Oyster cards are just one example. I appreciate that the police need to be able to track people down, and that we already live in a society that we can be checked up on regularly. So long as it is done for the right reasons, I'm willing to accept that as part of life.
This database is different though. At the moment we are still able to choose whether we have an oyster card, or a passport, or anything like that. This takes away the element of choice, and that's the scary part.
