these are all so good. you have a great take on ennis, i feel like i'm right there in his head. i really felt for the little boy in the last one. children can really have it awful. i'm glad ennis let him know he cared.

Thank you, Sienna.

Every once in a while I get in a mood to write canon.

wonderful. I liked what Ennis did for that little boy. I'm sure Jack would be proud

Thank you, Linda.

I like to think that Jack was still with Ennis.

sometimes little thing can really make a difference- perhaps his words will help this little boy in some way
-and I know Jack would be proud of him

'But he knew Jack still had hopes, and he hated seeing that hope in Jack’s eyes, knowing that sooner or later it would disappear.' it's not that Ennis didn't think about these things- but he knew no way out for both of them
thank you so much for these drabbles
your writing cut right to the point as always

Thank you, Paula.

I felt kind of bittersweet writing these, but this is what came to me. Glad you liked them.

*sob* What a sad end - and yet, at the same time one of hope as Jack will always be with him.
I liked all your endings a lot and you created a very moving atmosphere.

But he also had this nagging voice in the back of his mind telling him that on some level he deserved to be beat up. That he craved the feeling of another man’s hands on his body, even if it was only to hold him down while he got the stuffing kicked out of him.
And this I loved!!! It's exactly how I felt about all the fights Ennis got into too. I mean, this and the frustration and desperation in him. But definitely this! ^-^

I totally agree with you and I am always fascinated how well Heath conveyed these feelings in his fine acting.

Oh, and he did wonderfully, didn't he?
I think there must have been something of Ennis in Heath too. Of course he's a great actor anyway, but this role is so special, so unique, so magnificent.

Liebe Grüße zurück!
