01 - Hagunsei Senki

Around 1691/92
The land ruled by the Satomi clan (which I think is called Satomi as well).
Inue Shimbē Masashi and his twin younger sister, Fuse, had lost their parents, so they become the new clan heads.
Inue Shimbē Masashi becomes also the leader of the Satomi Hakkenshi (or more simply Hakkenshi), 8 elite warriors, loyal to the Satomi's clan.
One day Fuse talks with her brother about not being afraid of monsters whom she deem people as well and about going to the mountain where they are supposed to live. She then leaves and Inuyama Dōsetsu Tadatomo (Koyama Masami) joins her brother, asking him if he wants him to follow her. He says to let her go then leave. The other Hakkenshi join Inuyama Dōsetsu Tadatomo (Koyama Masami) and, worried for the princess, decide that two of them will follow her.
Fuse is attacked and saved by Yatsufusa, a mononoke.
Later Fuse is back and joins her brother but she's injuried. He worries for her and she tells him she has fallen in love for a monster.
Time later Fuse goes back to where Yatsufusa is. He who would like her to leave because that isn't a place for her since the mountain is where the ghosts/monsters who had been forced to leave their cities live. She tells him she had come to see him and that her twin older brother will help her to smooth things with the rioting cities. She then begin talking him about the Hakkenshi, about who and what they are and how her brother is one of them. Then she hands him a book, saying it's her favourite. She declares that she loves him and that they will have to see again because he will have to return her the book.
Yatsufusa is confused. Tamazusa, wo had witnessed the meeting, joins him. She points out she had heard he saved Fuse. She adds Yatsufusa is hers and, if he doesn't want something to happen to Fuse, he'll do better to remember this.
It seems she loves Yatsufusa, grows jealous at seeing him with Fuse and therefore places a curse on the two. This will lead to a tragedy.
Present time, school year 1991/92.
The Hakkenshi are reincarnates into normal people, each of them connected to a bead containing a kanji character that reflects one of the eight fundamental virtues of Confucianism. Each Hakkenshi is now studying/working at CLAMP Gakuen.
Kazae Tōma, Inue Shimbē Masashi reincarnation, is also a 1st year high school student in CLAMP Gakuen. In his dreams he keeps on seeing glimpses of his past life even if he can't remember it. His best friends are his senpai Tatsukawa Kōtarō (Inukawa Sōsuke Yoshitō's reincarnation) and Koyama Masami (Inuyama Dōsetsu Tadatomo's reincarnation), while his main teacher is Genda Shiyū (Inuta Kobongo Yasuyori's reincarnation).
Apart from Kazae Tōma the other Hakkenshi remember their past and are keeping an eye on him, protecting him secretly.
Then, one day, Shirō Fuyukaze (Yatsufusa's reincarnation) becomes Kazae Tōma's class new math teacher. Kazae Tōma thinks he had already met him somewhere but can't remember where.
That same day he catches sight of Ōzaka Tomoe (Inuzaka Keno Tanetomo's reincarnation) and Kuzuka Aoi (Inuzuka Shino Moritaka's reincarnation) and recognizes them as the two girls who appeared in his dreams (as well as Tatsukawa Kōtarō, Koyama Masami and Genda Shiyū).
Short later, while he is going back home with Tatsukawa Kōtarō and Koyama Masami he is attacked by a bunch of CLAMP students, wearing masks and using claws-like weapons (likely some type of Tekagi-shuko, also called Tekko-Kagi (or Tekagi "Hand Claw") or Neko-te "Cat Hand") that call them Hakkenshi and demands they'll give up on living.
Tatsukawa Kōtarō and Koyama Masami pull out their weapons and fight them off. Watching them Kazae Tōma thinks what's happeing is similar to what happens in his dreams.
The following day Kazae Tōma is summoned by Shirō Fuyukaze who tells him he'd been waiting to meet him after he disappeared right in front of him 300 years ago. He pulls out a Katana, Yōtō Murasamemaru, and with it corners the boy who feels confuse and thinks the teacher is joking until Genda Shiyū joins them and with an excuse takes him away. Shirō Fuyukaze asks the man if he's trying to hinder him at which he gets an affirmative answer and the warning that the princess will not help him.
The day later, while Genda Shiyū is keeping a litterature lesson, Kazae Tōma falls asleep/in trace and when he comes back to himself the class is empty. Behind himself he hears a girl's voice asking if he wants to hinder her. He turns and sees a kindergarten girl, Azuya Nagisa (Tamazusa's reincarnation), floating out of the window. She tells him that if his body is torn apart he won't be able to reincarnate and that he had promised her not to bother her because 'that person' (likely Shirō Fuyukaze) is hers. Kazae Tōma is confused and she attack him with magic, saying no matter how many times he'll reincarnate, she won't let him stop her from having her revenge. As he's hit Kazae Tōma has a quick series of flashback.
She would probably manage to kill him when Genda Shiyū placed in font of him, calling also Takamura Suō (Inumura Daikaku Masanori's reincarnation) to help him. The boy attacks the girl with his Kunai but, using her magic, she manages to stop them. Before disappearing, she announces that the Satomi Hakkenshi will not win her and that she will use their heads as decoration. Utterly confuse Kazae Tōma faints/falls asleep.
Genda Shiyū takes him to the infirmary and stay with him while the school doctor leaves. He's joined by a second year university student, Kigai Yūto (Inugai Genpachi Nobumichi's reincarnation), who's standing out of the window. He had been warned about what had happened by Takamura Suō and wonders if this had caused Kazae Tōma's memory to return but he's informed that's not the case. He says maybe that's better for him but Genda Shiyū disagree since the boy is being attacked due to what ha happened in his past life by reincarions of his past enemies. Kigai Yūto guesses that Tamazusa is behind all this.
Later Kazae Tōma wakes up and is informed by Tatsukawa Kōtarō and Koyama Masami he had fallen asleep in class and had gotten himself a concussion. The boy believes them but informs them he had dreamt of a princess telling him she fell in love with a monster.
Later Tatsukawa Kōtarō, Koyama Masami, Genda Shiyū, Kigai Yūto, Takamura Suō, Ōzaka Tomoe and Kuzuka Aoi are having a meeting in which they're discussing the situation, how Kazae Tōma's past life memory hasn't awaken yet and he believes his dreams to be just dreams and how he had been attacked. They all seems to believe there's Tamazusa behind this but they're surprised she's a kindergarten kid. They wonder if what moves her is still the grudge she held in the past even if Kazae Tōma hasn't recovered his memory yet. Koyama Masami declares he doesn't want him to remember because he looks happier this way even if Tatsukawa Kōtarō points out this could make things more dangerous for him. The two begin arguing when Ōzaka Tomoe notices three girls. Two of the girls (Akehi & Kurehi) attack them. They use a bell that causes monsters and a strong wind to appear. Ōzaka Tomoe and Kuzuka Aoi manage to prevail but Akehi & Kurehi escape and, to the girls who demanded where Tamazusa is they answer she will meet them soon. The boys in the meantimes are wondering about what was drawn on the girls' panties since they managed to catch a glimpse of them...
Meanwhile Akehi & Kurehi report to Azuya Nagisa, informing her that one of the twins hasn't recovered his memory yet. Azuya Nagisa is pleased and summons Kagura, demanding her to make the Hakkenshi pay.
Kazae Tōma, after having a long dream in which he sees how Fuse fell in love for Yatsufusa, wakes up still believing all this is just a dream. He however notes he looks like Fuse and Fuse's brother while Yatsufusa looks like his math teacher. He thinks Fuse should really have loved Yatsufusa and, at the same time feels a pain in his chest, same as what he believed the girl felt.
Short after Tatsukawa Kōtarō and Koyama Masami shows up to take him at school. The two boys are worried about him. They also worry about where could have ended some of the weapons involved in their previous life like Yatsufuse's sword or the sword of Fuse and her brother. The weapons of the other Hakkenshi had, in fact, turned into family heirloom but the same apparently couldn't be said for Kazae Tōma's. They're worried if he doesn't wake up quickly things can turn even more troublesome.
Once at school Kazae Tōma has a music lesson. The teacher is Kagura who dismisses the class and asks him to stay with her. All of sudden he finds himself in a forest and worries for the teacher but she points out he really hadn't recovered his memory and that she's there to kill him.

Extra info: Despite having reincarnated she still deems the Hakkenshi has her enemies and still wants to destroy them.
Note: Her name wasn't revealed yet during the little that was printed of the series but her look is the same of Azuya Nagisa although their personalities differ. It's possible either 'Hagunsei Senki' is an AU compared to '20 Mensō Ni Onegai!!', 'Gakuen Tokkei Duklyon' and 'CLAMP Gakuen Tantei Dan' or that Tamazusa's spirit can take control of Azuya Nagisa's spirit for a certain time.

02 - Fuse

Extra info: Younger twin sister of Inue Shimbē Masashi and very close to him. She is pretty athletic, cheerful, lively and outgoing and knows how to ride a horse. She declares she has no fear of monsters, whom she deems people as well. While going through a lnd which was rumoured to be haunted by monsters she's attacked/injured and she's saved by one of th monsters, Yatsufusa. This causes her to fall in love for him and begin to seek his company. It seems, prior to meeting Yatsufusa, she rarely left for a trip. She always told her brother the truth and she also confesses him she fell in love with a monster. As of now it's unknown if she has reincarnated as well and is a student at CLAMP Gakuen.

Extra info: He is class 1-Z main teacher. He remembers his past life, he's the oldest among the Hakkenshi and takes care to secretly protect Kazae Tōma. He seems to act as leader of the Hakkenshi. He is calm, patient and sometimes seems to be a little insensitive.

Extra info: After his parents died he become the head of the Satomi clan. He's also the leader of the Hakkenshi, and a very skilled swordfighter. It seems he was specialized in hand to hand combat. He's very close to his sister and very tollerant. He's a calm, carefree and always smiling person who likes to spend time in the library, reading books.

Extra info: He seems to have a gentle heart that's saddened by how Kazae Tōma and Fuse are orphan and by how Kazae Tōma was forced to become the new lord of the land at such a young age.

Weapon: It should be a Katana (刀 "Sword") named Daigatana 'Murasamemaru' (大刀『村雨丸』 "Great Blade Murasamemaru") but so far he hadn't retrieved it yet.
Height: 168cm.
Extra info: He is the calm type that goes to his own pace and seems a little dense. Always in a good mood, he's also very polite with his sempai. He doesn't remember his past life even if he's starting to dream of it every time he closes his eyes. He has good reflexes.
Note: According to Confucianism, "jin" is the greatest and most perfect virtue of all, which is likely why in manga and anime it's always given to the leader of a team.
Crossover: Gakuen Tokkei Duklyon? (In chap. 1 of Vol. 1 we can see one of Shūkaidō Takeshi and Higashikunimaru Kentarō looks rather similar to him. However there's also a resemblance with Kaga Kenji from 'Derayd'. Plus, since in 'Gakuen Tokkei Duklyon' Takamura Suō is a year older the same should apply to Kazae Tōma who should have moved to 2-Z)

Extra info: He has an easygoing personality and mental sharpness. He considers Ōzaka Tomoe his younger sister, though is unknown if they're really related. He has a wide knowledge in all matters. Extra info: Wild and stubborn, even if to the outsiders sometimes it can look like he's bullying Kazae Tōma, in truth is very overprotective of him to the point Tatsukawa Kōtarō calls him 'Kazae Tōma's mom'. He argues often with Tatsukawa Kōtarō due to the boy's jokes but the two of them work well in team and try to be around Kazae Tōma as often as possible, working as his bodyguards. Extra info: She had a strong character with an attitude prone to fight. A little impatient, nimble and active. She seemed to be close friend with Ōzaka Tomoe. With a strong character, a quick to quarrel, beautiful young girl. When the Hakkenshi are attacked by Akehi and Kurehi she opens up a path for Ōzaka Tomoe so she can hit one of them with her arrows.

Extra info: She has very elegant manners. She considers Kigai Yūto her older brother and calls him as such (おにいさま "Onīsama"), though is unknown if they're really related. She seemed to be close friend with Kuzuka Aoi. A good family's young girl type, she has a calm character. She's popular among the girls of the school. According to Tatsukawa Kōtarō she can prepara delicious Onigiri. When the Hakkenshi are attacked by Akehi and Kurehi she hit one of the two girls with her arrows.

Note: Some have assumed he could be Shiro Kamui's father however, despite his surname having the same reading as Shirō Kamui's, uses a different last kanji to write it (Shirō Kamui is written like this: 司狼 神威).

Around 1691/92
The land ruled by the Satomi clan (which I think is called Satomi as well).
Inue Shimbē Masashi and his twin younger sister, Fuse, had lost their parents, so they become the new clan heads.
Inue Shimbē Masashi becomes also the leader of the Satomi Hakkenshi (or more simply Hakkenshi), 8 elite warriors, loyal to the Satomi's clan.
One day Fuse talks with her brother about not being afraid of monsters whom she deem people as well and about going to the mountain where they are supposed to live. She then leaves and Inuyama Dōsetsu Tadatomo (Koyama Masami) joins her brother, asking him if he wants him to follow her. He says to let her go then leave. The other Hakkenshi join Inuyama Dōsetsu Tadatomo (Koyama Masami) and, worried for the princess, decide that two of them will follow her.
Fuse is attacked and saved by Yatsufusa, a mononoke.
Later Fuse is back and joins her brother but she's injuried. He worries for her and she tells him she has fallen in love for a monster.
Time later Fuse goes back to where Yatsufusa is. He who would like her to leave because that isn't a place for her since the mountain is where the ghosts/monsters who had been forced to leave their cities live. She tells him she had come to see him and that her twin older brother will help her to smooth things with the rioting cities. She then begin talking him about the Hakkenshi, about who and what they are and how her brother is one of them. Then she hands him a book, saying it's her favourite. She declares that she loves him and that they will have to see again because he will have to return her the book.
Yatsufusa is confused. Tamazusa, wo had witnessed the meeting, joins him. She points out she had heard he saved Fuse. She adds Yatsufusa is hers and, if he doesn't want something to happen to Fuse, he'll do better to remember this.
It seems she loves Yatsufusa, grows jealous at seeing him with Fuse and therefore places a curse on the two. This will lead to a tragedy.
Present time, school year 1991/92.
The Hakkenshi are reincarnates into normal people, each of them connected to a bead containing a kanji character that reflects one of the eight fundamental virtues of Confucianism. Each Hakkenshi is now studying/working at CLAMP Gakuen.
Kazae Tōma, Inue Shimbē Masashi reincarnation, is also a 1st year high school student in CLAMP Gakuen. In his dreams he keeps on seeing glimpses of his past life even if he can't remember it. His best friends are his senpai Tatsukawa Kōtarō (Inukawa Sōsuke Yoshitō's reincarnation) and Koyama Masami (Inuyama Dōsetsu Tadatomo's reincarnation), while his main teacher is Genda Shiyū (Inuta Kobongo Yasuyori's reincarnation).
Apart from Kazae Tōma the other Hakkenshi remember their past and are keeping an eye on him, protecting him secretly.
Then, one day, Shirō Fuyukaze (Yatsufusa's reincarnation) becomes Kazae Tōma's class new math teacher. Kazae Tōma thinks he had already met him somewhere but can't remember where.
That same day he catches sight of Ōzaka Tomoe (Inuzaka Keno Tanetomo's reincarnation) and Kuzuka Aoi (Inuzuka Shino Moritaka's reincarnation) and recognizes them as the two girls who appeared in his dreams (as well as Tatsukawa Kōtarō, Koyama Masami and Genda Shiyū).
Short later, while he is going back home with Tatsukawa Kōtarō and Koyama Masami he is attacked by a bunch of CLAMP students, wearing masks and using claws-like weapons (likely some type of Tekagi-shuko, also called Tekko-Kagi (or Tekagi "Hand Claw") or Neko-te "Cat Hand") that call them Hakkenshi and demands they'll give up on living.
Tatsukawa Kōtarō and Koyama Masami pull out their weapons and fight them off. Watching them Kazae Tōma thinks what's happeing is similar to what happens in his dreams.
The following day Kazae Tōma is summoned by Shirō Fuyukaze who tells him he'd been waiting to meet him after he disappeared right in front of him 300 years ago. He pulls out a Katana, Yōtō Murasamemaru, and with it corners the boy who feels confuse and thinks the teacher is joking until Genda Shiyū joins them and with an excuse takes him away. Shirō Fuyukaze asks the man if he's trying to hinder him at which he gets an affirmative answer and the warning that the princess will not help him.
The day later, while Genda Shiyū is keeping a litterature lesson, Kazae Tōma falls asleep/in trace and when he comes back to himself the class is empty. Behind himself he hears a girl's voice asking if he wants to hinder her. He turns and sees a kindergarten girl, Azuya Nagisa (Tamazusa's reincarnation), floating out of the window. She tells him that if his body is torn apart he won't be able to reincarnate and that he had promised her not to bother her because 'that person' (likely Shirō Fuyukaze) is hers. Kazae Tōma is confused and she attack him with magic, saying no matter how many times he'll reincarnate, she won't let him stop her from having her revenge. As he's hit Kazae Tōma has a quick series of flashback.
She would probably manage to kill him when Genda Shiyū placed in font of him, calling also Takamura Suō (Inumura Daikaku Masanori's reincarnation) to help him. The boy attacks the girl with his Kunai but, using her magic, she manages to stop them. Before disappearing, she announces that the Satomi Hakkenshi will not win her and that she will use their heads as decoration. Utterly confuse Kazae Tōma faints/falls asleep.
Genda Shiyū takes him to the infirmary and stay with him while the school doctor leaves. He's joined by a second year university student, Kigai Yūto (Inugai Genpachi Nobumichi's reincarnation), who's standing out of the window. He had been warned about what had happened by Takamura Suō and wonders if this had caused Kazae Tōma's memory to return but he's informed that's not the case. He says maybe that's better for him but Genda Shiyū disagree since the boy is being attacked due to what ha happened in his past life by reincarions of his past enemies. Kigai Yūto guesses that Tamazusa is behind all this.
Later Kazae Tōma wakes up and is informed by Tatsukawa Kōtarō and Koyama Masami he had fallen asleep in class and had gotten himself a concussion. The boy believes them but informs them he had dreamt of a princess telling him she fell in love with a monster.
Later Tatsukawa Kōtarō, Koyama Masami, Genda Shiyū, Kigai Yūto, Takamura Suō, Ōzaka Tomoe and Kuzuka Aoi are having a meeting in which they're discussing the situation, how Kazae Tōma's past life memory hasn't awaken yet and he believes his dreams to be just dreams and how he had been attacked. They all seems to believe there's Tamazusa behind this but they're surprised she's a kindergarten kid. They wonder if what moves her is still the grudge she held in the past even if Kazae Tōma hasn't recovered his memory yet. Koyama Masami declares he doesn't want him to remember because he looks happier this way even if Tatsukawa Kōtarō points out this could make things more dangerous for him. The two begin arguing when Ōzaka Tomoe notices three girls. Two of the girls (Akehi & Kurehi) attack them. They use a bell that causes monsters and a strong wind to appear. Ōzaka Tomoe and Kuzuka Aoi manage to prevail but Akehi & Kurehi escape and, to the girls who demanded where Tamazusa is they answer she will meet them soon. The boys in the meantimes are wondering about what was drawn on the girls' panties since they managed to catch a glimpse of them...
Meanwhile Akehi & Kurehi report to Azuya Nagisa, informing her that one of the twins hasn't recovered his memory yet. Azuya Nagisa is pleased and summons Kagura, demanding her to make the Hakkenshi pay.
Kazae Tōma, after having a long dream in which he sees how Fuse fell in love for Yatsufusa, wakes up still believing all this is just a dream. He however notes he looks like Fuse and Fuse's brother while Yatsufusa looks like his math teacher. He thinks Fuse should really have loved Yatsufusa and, at the same time feels a pain in his chest, same as what he believed the girl felt.
Short after Tatsukawa Kōtarō and Koyama Masami shows up to take him at school. The two boys are worried about him. They also worry about where could have ended some of the weapons involved in their previous life like Yatsufuse's sword or the sword of Fuse and her brother. The weapons of the other Hakkenshi had, in fact, turned into family heirloom but the same apparently couldn't be said for Kazae Tōma's. They're worried if he doesn't wake up quickly things can turn even more troublesome.
Once at school Kazae Tōma has a music lesson. The teacher is Kagura who dismisses the class and asks him to stay with her. All of sudden he finds himself in a forest and worries for the teacher but she points out he really hadn't recovered his memory and that she's there to kill him.

Extra info: He saved Fuse and she fell in love for him. He looks like he is confused by her but do not pushes her away. He is, however, tried to Tamazusa who considers him as hers. In a pic CLAMP portraied his previous self next to Kagura's previous self so it's possible they were connected. It seems he is a mononoke (物の怪 "Ghost/Spirit"). For some reasons (possibly due to Tamazusa's actions) he ends up hating Satomi and Inue Shimbē Masashi. It seems however the boy disappeared from in front of him before he could deal with him. His grudge for Inue Shimbē Masashi and Satomi will follow him in his future reincarnation.
