InstaRec: Teen Wolf

Teen Wolf continues to eat my life.

Also, I'm trying to remember to bookmark things on AO3 since I've taken to finding a lot of really good fic that way myself. So I figured I'd contribute to the silent reccing love.

Okay, now I'm curious about this fic because that is such a strong rec. I'm also am not as attuned to reading genderswap fic so it's always great to find one that is well-written. And lol about TW eating your brain. It kind of does, doesn't it?

Ack, it so totally does eat your brain. I'm so very addicted - why, why, WHY? It must be love. *g*

This fic really worked. You didn't even notice the genderswap because it felt so right, so in character, so strong. You should give it a try.

I'm being pretty guarded with my love though, because I don't want to be disappointed by the show (and I had some issues with S2 finale). I'm both amused and wary about the intensity of this fandom. But really TW fandom has some fantastically written fic...

I just dled the fic from AO3 :)

Eh, well, I haven't watched most of the show. Well, no, I got through S1E8, I think. I watched the first four episodes before diving into the fic just so I'd know who was who, but I was really just after the fic. But this past weekend I watched the next few, and I have to say that I enjoyed them so much more now that the fic made me love the characters - I completely cracked up repeatedly at the show. But I generally think I'm better off reading the fic than watching the show - felt that way about SGA as well.

Do you mean you're wary of the intensity of the fandom because you think it will burn out or because it makes the fandom itself prone to wank, or something else? This is a weird fandom experience for me because I don't use tumblr, where I gather this fandom is located, so I just read the fic without being involved in anything else in the fandom and have no feel for the fandom itself. Because I still use LJ. It's strange and I feel like I'm missing stuff, but I'm not at the "I want a tumblr" point yet.
