I used a power tool once. And a stud finder since we have plaster walls. My dad instructed me how to do it over the phone, since he was in Myrtle beach at the time. I hung up my mirror and it's hasn't fallen or anything. I remember feeling quite accomplished. Still do. :)

Bulbs for cheap, eh? I know they're not cheap initially...but those power saver bulbs usually get great reviews online. I've had my whole set of 12 since I've lived in oxford, and they haven't blown out. Its hard to say, though, if they REALLY save you energy...maybe something to consider!!!

though yes, i also use the energy-saving light bulbs in most of the house. and then bitch at andrew when he leaves on a light that uses incandescent instead.
