Life from this point last year to now is completely different. My day to day is pretty much unchanging. But, a year ago there was at least time for people that I care about. I know the feeling well. We have hardly been seeing anyone for years now as its either been health issues or working every hour we can to survive sucking away our time, along with the general depressed time wasting its so easy to slip into as a coping mechanism.
I really really hope things improve for you soon.
Plus having had bronchitis myself as a child and had that whole 'never getting well' things for most of my life - it sucks. So give him a hug from me as well.
