Spambots?

Can someone explain to me these new (apparent) spambots who, after posting comments that actually pertain to the post in question, will include a link to a completely random website about Jessica Simpson's hair extensions or 1 800 Flowers. I've actually seen a particular user spaming everywhere on all the communities I'm either a member of and/or watching. They post something entirely unrelated (videos of sexy girls for example) in a community for... I don't know... politics or hindu culture or something. But they disable all comments so I can't ask them why they are doing this. Of course, I've reported them several times and even contacted the mods to delete their posts from the community...

Yeah, I saw a post like that on one of the comms I'm a member of too, but the mods deleted it quickly.

I think I might make a post on my graphics LJ (where the weird spam posts are happening) that any comments containing an irrelevant link will be deleted, regardless of what the comment says. One of the comments was anonymous and the other two were from users with LJs created in the last week...very suspicious.
