Halloween!

This post has nothing to do with Halloween!

Well, maybe a little. I don't really intend on dressing up as A) I'm too old to be trick-or-treating, I hate parties, and there's no point in wearing a costume while scrambling to finish my Lit. essay and B) Even if I decided to dress up to go to school, I take public transit. AWKWARD.

I've been slowly coming to terms with the fact that the Internet does not need to know everything that I feel and do on a daily basis. So, what am I trying to convince my parents to help me with? Not telling. What has me extremely worried right now and is slowly driving me insane? My lips are sealed (although it probably isn't that hard to guess). What do I plan to do in November? You will never know. (I will tell you though that it isn't NaNoWriMo. In fact, it's kind of on the opposite side of the spectrum from NaNoWriMo. No, I am not ripping up books, what in the world gave you that idea?!)

Tokio Hotel (or I guess the just the Kaulitz twins) are releasing a new app that's supposed to bring their fans closer to them than ever before. Considering "before" was hours of behind the scenes footage posted weekly on YouTube as well as cut into documentaries for their concert DVDs, I find that hard to believe.

Now, like any good fangirl, I intend on buying whatever it is to support them in the hopes that it'll bring them some buzz during their little break from the spotlight (because seriously, a prolonged absence can be fatal in this industry). That doesn't necessarily mean I get what the point of it is. I figured since they stopped releasing new episodes of Tokio Hotel TV on YouTube and that the behind the scenes footage on their latest DVD wasn't new, that they were clamping down on their privacy, which made sense, considering the twins had to move to another continent to avoid stalkers (and to be closer to their producer and find new collaborators, but still, it was one reason). Tom has his blog, Bill had a gallery/photostream (by the way, did they ever give a reason for closing it?), I'm pretty happy. Unlike the crazies, I don't need to know the exact brand of collar their dog has or how long Bill takes to shower. They make music. They do occasional photoshoots and interviews. I'm good.

Then again, I'm also the type of person who would run away if I ever encountered them on the street but hey... (probably because they'd be tailed by about a hundred fangirls but also because they're six feet tall and incredibly intimidating. That and I generally don't like people. Or at least talking to them. Or acknowledging their presence. Meh).

My expectations aren't really high. Maybe some photos, quick thank you messages, 20 second videos of whatever. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate their sharing their life with us, no matter how much they choose to share. Just because you're a celebrity doesn't mean you give up the right to a private life. It's just that, in the grand scheme of things, this app really isn't a big deal.

(Unless they suddenly decide to start sharing some new demos. Then the app becomes a very big deal and I would turn into an inconsolable screaming puddle of goo. That made no sense, but whatever).

And now, back to OMA voting! Apparently, some Bieber fans had a little tiff with some of the TH fans and I have no idea why. Just vote and if you win, great, if not, better luck next time. The OMAs are fun, but let's face it, they're definitely not the Grammys.
