timeline
I thought it would be interesting to try to remember where I was in the years since I was born. Here we go:
1979: Born in Regina, SK on October 3, 1979. Lived on Elphinstone street. My brother was 3 years old.
1980: Turned 1, still lived in this same house.
1981: Turned 2, still lived in the same house, and can't really recall anything else.
1982: Turned 3. Same as above. Not much recollection. I do, however, have a photo of me with a wonder woman cake for my third birthday.
1983: Turned 4. I remember having foster kids living in our house with us, playing in the basement on an orange chair, comparing the size of my feet to one of our older foster kids.
1984: Turned 5 in October, started kindergarten in September. Went to Kitchener school. May have moved to another house by this point.
1985: Turned 6 in October, started grade 1 in September.
1986: Turned 7 in October, started grade 2 in September. At some point during this year we moved to Moosejaw so Dad could take a management job in a furniture store. Started out going to Paliser school.
1987: Turned 8, still at Paliser school for grade 3.
1988: Turned 9, went to Westmount school for grade 4.
1989: Turned 10, moved back to Regina, went to Ruth Pawson school for grade 5.
1990: Turned 11, moved again, this time went to Imperial school (grade 6).
1991: Turned 12, still at Imperial School for grade 7. First kiss/boyfriend. Some guy named Shane.
1992: Turned 13, started grade 8 at Robert Usher Collegiate.
1993: Turned 14, in grade 9.
1994: Turned 15, in grade 10. Lost virginity.
1995: Started dating Norb, which lasted for 4 years. Turned 16. Dropped out of school. Went to my first rave!!
1996: Went back to school and finished grade 10. 17 years old.
1997: 18 years old, finished grade 11. first job at walmart.
1998: graduated from highschool, turned 19.
1999: broke up with norb (finally), turned 20.
2000: turned 21, attended my first connect, went to lake louise for about 1 month to work in hotel, took nanny job in Toronto (which lasted 2 weeks), went to montreal for the same thing (2 months).
2001: turned 22, worked at CIBC, dated Paul.
2002: turned 23, got my TESOL certification, went to Nanchang, China for 6 months to teach.
2003: turned 24, came back from China, started dating Steve, began yoga certification (which I did not complete).
2004: turned 25, moved back to China, started teaching at random places/getting random English jobs. met Gareth online via livejournal Buddhist forum in December. started teaching with Manhattan Kids Club
2005: turned 26, Gareth came to China in March, proposed just before birthday, found out Ella was on her way.
2006: moved to England, turned 27, got married on April 1, Ella was born on June 10.
2007: stayed in England, turned 28, 1 year of marriage, Ella 1 year old.
2008: turned 29, moved back to Canada, 2 years of marriage, Ella 2 years old.
2009: Worked at Superstore as store admin, while waiting for immigration to let Gareth work. Turned 30, Ella turned 3, married for 3 years.
2010: Still at superstore, turned 31, Gareth started working, I opened home daycare. Ella turned 4. Found out we were expecting Milo in July, married 4 years.
2011: turned 32, Married 5 years, Ella 5 years, Milo born April 28 - on Gareth's Mom's birthday. Started taking University classes in September.
2012: turned 33, Married 6 years, Ella 6 years, Milo 1.Found out we were expecting Molly in July.
2013: turn 34, Married 7 years, Ella 7 years, Milo 2 years. Molly is due May 12, 2013. I will start Semester 3 of Education degree in September.
Future plans:
2014: finish semester 4 and 5, also do many semester 8 classes in spring/summer.
2015: finish semester 6 and 7, with hopefully all extra classes done before the end of the year.
