Since then I have unpacked all of my things, I'm working on a commission, re-read a young adult novel I haven't read in five years and just recently started Chuck Palahanuik's "Haunted" and I've been hunting for a job for the past week ( Read more... )

Ugh If you're talking about vector marketing that sends you a letter in the mail in blue font, yes it's a HUGE scam. Tommy did it after high school and basically they make you go to this meeting with a bunch of other young adults they send letters to and then they tell you how you'll make great money.....selling knives. Tommy was very upset, it's a major rip-off(unless you WANT to be selling knives and putting down about 200 for your first set to sell to someone) and I beg you not to go to that. Alot of people get them after high school. Heck, even I have gotten one before. Hope that helps.

I knew it! I knew it was a scam!

Yeah, I'd gotten letters from them offering a highly profitable job this year and last year. I talked to my girlfriend about it and she said it probably was a scam since there wasn't any description of the work in their ads and it didn't even seem legit since there were people sticking the ads on people's windshields in the Endicott Plaza parking lot.

I also did some research on them via Wikipedia (not the most reliable source, I know but it works in a pinch) and there's some really haneous stuff they get away with under their criticism. They've even been sued in the past too, which isn't much of a surprise... And how the fuck they managed to be part of the Better Business Bureau is beyond me.

But yeah, don't worry. If worse comes to worse I'll work at McDonald's and smell like french fries everyday if I can't find work soon, there's no way in hell I'd work for Vector based on what I've found out.
