At Claire's suggestion I started reading Donald Miller's Blue Like Jazz.  According to the back cover, Don is like "Anne Lamott with testosterone."  That's high praise in my world, and a few chapers in I'm not entirely sure I'm ready to give it, but thus far, I am thoroughly enjoying myself.  Here is an excerpt I read during lunch today:

As per Dale's suggestion, I've been reading 'Blue Like Jazz'. It's my "I got into the terminal early like I'm supposed to, so I have an hour and a half until boarding" reading. It's awesome! I do love that excerpt. There are many things in this book that just make sense, and a few that made me laugh out loud.

Blue Like Jazz is one of my favorite books! I never get tired of reading it over and over. :)

That used to be my favorite book. Until I realized that Miller's understanding of God is not Biblical and completely skewed. He tells great stories, and draws great cartoons, but be careful when it comes to his theology. It is contrary to what the Bible says :(
