Maybe it's like watching a trilogy. The first movie is exciting and fun and new just like when you first really get being a Christian. The second seems dull because it's needed to move the plot along. The third finally brings all the pieces together and is filled with all the inside jokes and plot twists that make us smile knowingly.

As Christians we spend most of our lives in the middle movie. We experience good and bad, dull and exciting as part of the daily rhythm. I don't know, maybe the final installment begins with the return of Christ. Anyway, hold your thumbs up because that is where we should be looking. Part three is about to be released at a theater near you.
