Tiger & Bunny?

Sep 18, 2011 21:33

First things first: I really liked T&B. I loved it like nobody's business. So I probably should have seen it coming, cuz that's usually how things work out for me: first season's over now, and I'm sitting here, hating almost everything about it.
I planned on writing a long ass rant about all the major and minor things that just annoy me to no end ( ( Read more... )

review, ranting, disregard that i'm an idiot, tiger&bunny, fandom's a bitch

I've long since stopped expecting the writing in shounen anime to be anything but poorly written convenience. And I'm still more disappointed in myself for completely forgetting Edward's existence until they showed him again because I have come to the conclusion that I really love that kid and everything he is. XD

(also I want to watch a show about Agnes... although not as much as I think I want to watch a show about Edward and Ivan being boyfriends............ or Nathan and Antonio for that matter. Or Keith. Okay, as per usual I just want to watch a show about anyone but the main characters. XD)

I have no idea what I expected. But I think one of the things that really ruined the whole thing for me was the fanservice that was forced down your throat every ten seconds. Yeah, somehow that really annoyed me.

(Well I wouldn't mind a show about Kotetsu's family. I really liked the episode that was revolving around him and his brother and Kaede and his cabbage growing mom and all this *3*° And damn yes for a show about Ivan and Edward being boyfriends. ...Though I'd be glad if it had a bit of Tony and Isaac in it ;__; ... Also I think I a show about Nathan would be amazing, with him hitting on Antonio all the time. Keith can be there, too. ...Can we just agree on kicking Barnaby out of this show? 8D)

I am just so disappointed that since apparently shipping Keith and Ivan is a thing (although I'm not sure why, have they had any chemistry at all ever?) there is like no fic about Ivan and Edward out there... save for one I found on AO3. SAD FOREVER. D: D: XD

Also I am trying to remember who Tony and Isaac are and I just can't. But then: 20 episodes in three days. I have forgotten so much of this show it's not even funny.

I feel your pain so, so much >:(
It's probably the shitload of fanarts from Japan, but I have no idea why everyone and their mom ships Keith/Ivan, they talked to each other... once?

Tony was the little boy who could move statues and Isaac was his jerkass of a iceskating fag friend, and I totally shipped them, and when we saw a shot of them sitting together in front of the TV eating cupcakes together in the last ep it just made me go awwww.

Haha! I was just sitting here, wondering if I should try to watch it, and now I think I won't. XD

Oh, I guess maybe you should! Because it is quite okay actually, and I'm pretty sure you'd like it.
I'm just horribly picky ;D

It's mecha, right? I'm not a huge fan of the genre, and I'm pretty sure that all the awesome fanart I've been seeing is born out of yaoi fangirlism more than anything else. (Not to mention, part of the appeal is that one of the characters looks like Diego in Godot's clothing.) XD I don't watch anime very often, as I'm picky as well and crunched for time, and the last thing I watched was... disappointing. XD If you think the characterization is lacking, I believe you!

Yeah, the mechas aren't that important though, they're just the superhero suits. I thought I wouldn't like T&B because of the mechas too first, but then it was other things that made me hate it they weren't bothering at all ^^

I do feel sorta honored by that~
And I can tell you that Kotetsu is one hell of an awesome character, but he just never gets the appreciation he deserves, neither in the fandom nor in the show itself, and I just spent the last episodes of this anime wishing for him to get a better partner and friend than Barnaby :/

First: HOLY SHIT WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! 8D thanks for not tellinh me Jeanne's home address to mail out her birthday present xD did you go somewhere?

Second: since when did you cared about hater? If you think a show is flawed, then its flawed ^^ though truth be told i saw the first episode of that show, and i didn't even want to see the next episode .-. But oh well.

As the LJ entry says, I was in Newcastle, visiting sam_cc.

I really liked the first episodes and hoped for this show to develop into something truly epic, but instead it was mostly just fanservice and all the good plot ideas got thrown out of the window so far. There IS still the second season though, we'll see how that works out.

I'm one of those who really enjoyed the ending, I guess, although I didn't find it flaw-free in any sense of the word ( ... )

Lots of plot points weren't managed well during the last few episodes imho. The whole "Memory on-and-off" thing went so damn fast! It was like "Who are u we r gonna fight u!" and after five minutes Kaede came in and everyone was like "Oh yeah right! 8D ( ... )

How come that someone claims to like a series but just complains about everything?
Fascinating...

Because people are allowed to discuss about things that disappointed them on a series they were expecting to be awesome.
